Anyone checked out the Julbo's? I see they also have photochromatic lenses and the price don't look to bad either.
  2. just don't let the Titus hear you say that .
  3. Spoke to Mark earlier, he can get hold of Kenda's. No Karma's in stock at the moment, expecting in 2 weeks time... R320 before discount (UST). I'm gonna try running a Karma up front & Nevegal at the back.
  4. You have issues dude... don't type them away, get on that Titus and ride... long & hard, like you'd do to that 24yr old chick you mentioned if you had the chance
  5. And while on the topic, has anyone tried Maxxi MiMo's?
  6. Who stocks Kenda's in the northern burbs?
  7. I'm currently running Conti Speed Kings (beaded). The price is very good at R160 but wear is high. They hook up very well in the damp, compact & loamy kinda terrain (they really impressed me on the Argus mtb ride) and seem to shed mud rather well but they suck on dry gravel technical trails (eg. Zevenwagt & Grabouw). As an allrounder on the Conti side I'd vote the Explorer as the better tire.
  8. I feel your pain Marius, I went through a stint like that last season where I got a puncture every time I took my bloody bike out the front door. It's super frustrating. Buff's tip of the day - check your rim tape. Sometimes it slides on the rim and it cuts the tube from the inside, especially when you pump your tires above 8bar (it's common problem but the last thing you normally check).
  9. Take two panado's and go to bed, you are clearly too strong for your own good and risk breaking a leg... stay in bed till the fitness goes away.

"telling someone to go to hell in such a manner that he looks forward to the trip" comes to mind here .
  11. That's yesterdays news Lefty
  12. Looks like manual airbags for the new Mini.
  13. Check out www.firstascent.co.za. Their clothing is top notch and perfect for layering. I've used it for adventure racing and it works like the dogs bollocks, especially the Powerstretch material. A bit pricey but worth every cent and lasts for years. Besides, local is lekka. And there CapeStorm as well.
  14. Okay, I'm in, when's class start?
  15. You can't go wrong the Giant, good choice.
  16. Pea Blaauw - 021 9791427 His practise is near the Durbanville Hospital. Also very good, he should be back at work after the Epic.
  17. Where you clamp the carbon bars onto the stem.
  18. You also get a special paste/lube to use on Carbon posts and handlebars (red in colour feels like sandy greece). Most decent bike shops use it.
