In summary, South African legislation has only made significant provision for E-bikes that are bicycles with pedals, have continuous power not exceeding 250watt and do not exceed 25km/h. MANY of the e-delivery bikes do not comply with this, beit the speed assist speed, motor power, and many have a throttle.

NOPE, you are deluded if you think you are ever in control of that situation. READ the accounts of those that have been bike-jacked. Even some seriously big gents that can handle themselves. I am not ignoring your point. Simply stating outright that you are WRONG.

Have YOU been in a bike-jacking ? Or have you been in a situation where you had barely a few seconds to react to an attempted bike jacking ? Unfortunately I have been in an attempted bike-jacking. The first signs were no more than two "pedestrians" acting strange, you cant draw a gun on every second pedestrian .... by the time the attempted bike-jacking started, it was all over in two seconds !! Taking my hands off the bars to reach for any sort of weapon at that stage would have been impossible. The real issue .... you never look at any "pedestrian" the same ... In a Rambo situation it would be nice to permanently take out this scum .... in real life it does NOT work like that.

would be interesting to hear from the frequent flyers .... If you are worried, maybe reduce to 0,5bar below the rated maximum for the tyre. Not as if we typically use such high pressures in any case.

I have done this on a new tyre fit. Topping up .... the syringe works very nice

Have to agree. Not elegant, but I remove the core and slip a tube over the valve with a cyringe on the other end. Syringe is velcrowed to the spokes. Now I can measure out and add sealant without any fuss. Clean the inside of the valve with an earbud, fit core, pump up. New tyres gets popped on first.

Welcome to SA ..... November / December there were a fair selection of Giant available. 3 or 4 Merida .... Just after I picked up the Giant Revolt a shipment of Merida landed ..... One brand at a time in over supply, and the rest minimal ....

Janos, Evobikes, knows me well enough .... 2x 1 liter bottles at a time .... Topping up the odd tire before a race use minimal. Then when I do get to that 3 month service ... 4 of 5 bikes later, that is a lot of sealant !! Must admit ... have not tried filling a tyre with it though ...

We used it for about 5 years. Both as tubeless, but also in tubes when Maritz had the smaller bikes. EXCELLENT !! Only one issue ... fine for MTB pressures, as soon as the pressure increase to large volume gravel tires ... it keeps on spraying and only starts sealing when the pressure has dropped. Some allmighty messes with small glass cuts ..... Started switching all our bikes over the Enduroseal about 3 years ago. No issues with low or higher (gravel) pressures.

Go back a page or two. Very specific application process to be followed.

Worth trying Enduroseal. It most certainly last a lot longer than "30 days". Out of habit I do top up at around 3 months, up to that point it works perfectly.

Thank you to @shaper and others for your valued input. @Shaper you had me doing some homework on the Forerunner series The FR255 seems to be running low on stock, with Garmin SA not even having any stock. Seems it may be nearing end of life .... though this is not certain. In any case, I started reading up on the other FR options. The FR165 is by all accounts the same hardware as the VivoActive 5, just with a different emphasis on the programming and functionality. Interesting, as the VA5 does not have a barometer .... very strange omission, which gets a lot of attention by DC Rainmaker and others. The FR265 caught my eye ... VERY nice watch !!! At a price premium .... In the end I opted for the FR165. More than 1 week on a single charge, with daily activities. The progress in the software of these watches in the last 4 years is simply mind boggling !! Having fun trying out all, okay some off, the new features.

Maybe also consider, the last few years were some of the wettest. Before that this was a very popular event. For the organisers, riders and local community I do hope the weather plays nicely this year.
