  1. I have used both Prepsol and the lemon Cleen Green concentrate. Personally I prefer the Cleen Green. Prepsol doesn't clean as well as the CG. Regards, casspir
  2. Hennerik, Ek het nie van tandem ervaring gepraat nie. "or are you one of those weirdos on a half a bike that uses kempekkernoglia???????" Ja.
Soos Johan Bornman dit so akkuraat opsom: "In summary, it is purely a shifting problem." Groete, casspircasspir2007-08-10 07:46:30
  4. Are you referring to the BBC-20 Hydra Tank? Where did you get them from? regards

  7. Can't we get Andrew or Arnold Geerts to have an interview with Shaun? Maybe such exposure can create more support? Andrew does post from time to time. There are quite a lot of cyclist enjoying Supercycling who are not Hub participants or lurkers. Regards, Kinnie
  8. Maybe give Johan Bornmann at www.yellowsaddle.co.za a call. Get a quote from him. regards, casspir

    easy ride

Hagar, Was self 'n student daar. Die foto's wat jy wys bring aangename (en 'n paar onaangename) herinneringe terug. Stem egter saam dat dit 'n ideale omgewing vir familie fun rides behoort te wees. Hoe moeilik is dit om deesdae daar in te kom? Laat weet asb. casspir

  16. I use an iPod with those "clip around the ear" earphones. They do not sit very tight and thus allowing other sounds as well. Very cheap as well. These earphones have an in-line volume adjuster. I don't have to adjust the iPod, I set the iPod to maximum volume and control the actual volume with the in-line adjuster. This setup allows me to put the iPod in a back pocket and out of the way. Regards casspir
  17. I use Bontrager Revolt Super X at this stage. Quite surprised at the good wear I am getting. regards casspir

    Oils

The question is not based on the wax/wet oil use. Why, for example, do we use White Lightning on road bikes and Squirt on MTB? Why cant we use the same Squirt (there are two variants) on both road and mountain bikes? casspir

    Oils

Hi Hubbers,<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Why do we differentiate between lubrication (especially for the chain) for application on road and mountain bikes? Is it really needed? GoLefty your input will be appreciated! Regards, casspir
  20. I got mine from Cane Creek. 10 working days after order. See: http://www.thudbuster.com/products.html Ensure you get the crud catcher as well. Regards, casspir

  22. Big H, seems to be a design change. Has a hole for the seatpost and smallish "haak en steek" opening. garthzga, have a look at www.thudbuster.com Regards, casspir casspir2007-03-19 08:01:15
  23. Slowpoke, done it already. Arione on old fixed seat post and Gobi on Thudbuster. Big H, crud catcher fitted. Need to ask SWAMBO to do some needlework. I don't use a QR on the saddle post clamp and need to change the catcher so that it can be removed without removing the seat post. Regards, casspir
  24. On Saturday I tested the ThudBuster seat post off-road for the first time. And what a surprise! <?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> The added comfort allowed me to stay seated much much longer and I am of the opinion that it does enhance the speed at which you travel. I did the same track some time ago and wasn?t very impressed with the ride quality on my HT. But now I am really hooked. Granted, it will never be the same as a FS, but that doesn?t matter to me. I had a VT1 and exchanged it for a XTC due to the hassles in tweaking the rear shock. Doing LSD with the mtb and ThudBuster on road was a worrying experience. It felt kinda mushy. But off-road it seems to be as stable as a rigid seat post. In fact I never realised that the seat post did compensate for little bumps and corrugations! I am happy and for the first time I really enjoyed the ride. GoLefty, your advice was spot on again! Thanks. My single track skills are up to ****, and need much more exercising. Regards, casspir
