  1. Lol...thought it was about a year... Sort of forgot/not forgot about smoking over the last 365 odd days. Having a smoking friend get a stent earlier this year also helped keep me smoke free... Stupidly, and sadly he still smokes though... On to Year Two....
  2. I think its one of those Rites Of Passage thing for all new cyclists (and sometimes the old ones too!), experiencing LBS uselessness....
  3. Lol...I wear kit twice...especially in winter...I dont sweat that much unless its a 2pm mid summer ride and if I have sweated considerably, then it goes in the wash, straight away....My MTB baggies (shell only) gets worn several times... Im not made of money so I cant afford to buy new gear every year... I still have my crappy Mr Price bike shirt from 2011.....Its actually sun rotting but I wear it! I think that set me back about R100 then! Im not there for showing off expensive and fancy kit.... And as TNT mentioned...even if you dont re-wear your kit....let it dry if you are not going to wash straight away...Makes a huge difference....

    CV Writing

Anyone here in the CV writing game or can recommend someone who knows what they are doing? No issue with paying. I just want some help with this and someone who knows how to structure and word these things. I am a few Rands lighter now after paying a clown to do this and getting nothing back... On the plus side....Lesson learnt...
  5. I went to this shop about 4 or 5 years ago...Once...thats it. Never again. Made the Kdorp and Princess Crossing Cajees look top notch when it came to knowing about bikes and the parts...
  6. Lol..I was actually just about to post a pic of a grinder as a joke but you did it!
  7. So who was out in the Cradle area today, I read that someone was taken away in an ambulance and another in a helicopter today? Seems its getting quite hectic out there again with cyclists and runners and motorists and loiterers and a couple of small roads...? There was a post about it on the FB group Cradle Riders & Runners
  8. Such a nice day for the highveld...you can see the 'change in weather clouds' coming in though.... Looking north and south along the Magalies....
  9. Lol..indeed...I shifted my morning ride to this afternoon!
  10. Seeing how the vermin is so quick to steal lights from Polos and canopies from bakkie, I wouldn't leave anything of any value attached to the car....Just a magnet for them.... If it hasnt been stolen here yet its because no-one has thought of stealing it yet.
  11. Happens all over... People just do what they want and when you confront them, then you are the tappet...... I've also sat on hills around here watching guys in races just throw their bikes over fences and take short cuts. Begs the question why even bother entering?
  12. 5:30pm Highveld haze time....Soon the Magalies will be difficult to see with all the crap in the air from veld fires and coal stoves and who knows what else!
  13. Saw it on FB over the weekend....lucky escape for the guy! Hope he bought lottery tickets!
  14. Had 3x... All would whinge and whine if they didn't get regular love and attention....
  15. Can you not just get the new internals for the clutch as a kit? But the price of parts I would have thought a RD would last at least a couple of years worth of riding...?
  16. Lol...West Rand....What can I say....
  17. Lol...get a sense of humour...Roadie boy.....
  18. Nice warm sunset before the cold front gets to us this weekend...
  19. Looks like the dirt roadies are knocking about and someone did some multitasking on their ride...(pink razor if you cant make it out...)
  20. Dont know if we watched the same thing (Most stolen phones end up being exported) but ja, these guys are so quick but equally people are just glued to their phones at every opportunity....No-one really takes notice of whats going on around them these days....
  21. Lol...How many of them got shot over there then?
  22. Someone once mentioned to me the width of your bar...the wider it is the more your wrists turn inwards or something and this can cause numb hands...?
