  1. Years ago I lived on a small mining village near Witbank...We had a familiy there that always wore these...the husband, the wife and the two kids! This was before we had the Kardashians to give us fashion sense....
  2. I feel ashamed for wearing my Pep trancksuit pants on a ride now! (tucked into my socks naturally!)
  3. The 2.1 crossmarks are hard to find now..... As for that Fasttrack....I was quoted closer to R1000 for one tyre from the local dealer...lol!
  4. Where are you finding tubeless Crossmarks for R380?
  5. That puffy was about as thick as my wrist...around 20cm or so.....A fair size...I have seen baboon and a caracal in these hills...Would have been a tasty treat for them!
  6. The joys of being self employed/unemployed/nothing to do today...You can ride whenever! And I like warm lunctime rides in winter! But it looks like I interrupted someone's lunch today...(nice fat meaty peice of puffy.....).

  8. Lol..Ill aways remember taking my 4x4 all the way to the Sani pass.It was time to put it to the test.....Then discovering that the Breedts Nek pass, just round the corner from me, was actually in worse condition
  9. Seems to have changed quite a bit then? I did my last one in 2014 I think...Shocked thats already 7 years ago!
  10. Ive done it 3x.....And this is how it is....Its soddingly rocky no matter what! I would also suggest the 35km if you are not used to being punished over 60km on rocky, sandy and grassy paths....
  11. Seems bad pennys continue to show up...
  12. My experience with this was to still get a puncture and then have a ton of sealant all over the place. I also struggled to patch the tube with the sealant all over. I wound up buying the extra thick tubes and tyre liners instead before I went tubeless.... (big weight difference!) But tubeless is the best way no doubt,
  13. Even if you dont do the spannering yourself, make sure you have a good idea of whats what so the LBS cant spin BS stories to you....
  14. Just consumables for me....All tools have been bought over last 11 years. No more LBS BS.....(plus closet one is 30km odd away.....) As with anything mechanical....Fix before something breaks and creates more damage and cost....
  15. Shame, I quite liked those two old toppies....The one was actually nice enough to lend me a tool to take back home to sort something out years ago...Been going there since I moved to the West Rand back in 94 or so. Sad but life moves on.........
  16. If it was bought from a political figure then all you need to do is burn something down to get some attention.....
  17. Lol...The Cajees in Krugersdorp has changed...not sure if its new owners but its a slightly better shop but still populated with zero knowledge individuals. reopened a few months back..However seeing how they only open at 9:30am and later these days I no longer bother going there (it was a few streets up from a mates shop so was easy access).. But as you say...all these years later and Cajees is still operational and yet still the same!
  18. And maybe most importantly...You KNOW that there is a part broken....its not left as a suprise for your next long ride...
  19. Lol, Without realising it I have now I have offended myself.... What to do...what to do....
  20. Krugersdorp - Opposite Dros on Cecil Knight Street....Near to Key West shopping Mall. I also like these guys....not so much of the 'I have a larney bike but you don't' attitude here......
  21. Dont you find that the vape gives you a runny nose all the time though? That was my experience.... They do smell nice though!
