I see you stay in Dundee...I did a few years a DHS back in the 80s....(I stayed in Dannhauser) Isnt there a co-op there? I use a cheap red water soluble degreaser from them...Its around R120 a liter and you just dilute it...works great.

I suppose it depends what you do with that dirty old paraffin.... Hopefully not chucking it down the drain.... 😀

Years ago when I had my 4x4 I was very excited to hit up Sani Pass... I wasnt so impresed when I got to the top and realised Breedts nek was actually more challenging! 😀

Not sure where you are located and what you want to spend but the bike shop in Rustenburg got me a Recon 4 years back (they could get others as well)...None of the bike shops had any even back then...Shop name is Cycle Zone.

2 x Ghosts failed on the chainstay where a cable guide was welded (same spot, both frames) 1 x Momsen on the area where the seat stays, seat tube and down tube all come together...was welded...failed again.. So for me I would say its anywhere there is a weld?

Ive only found a couple of tortoises on my rides...if they are near a road and/or my tortoise eating brothers then I move them... Otherwise happy travels!

At least its not raining for a change....(yet...!_

Last ride for the weekend judging by the weather forecast....fair bit of rain last night....At least the uphills are dry.... You can already see some veld grasses going to seed and some paths are closing up quite quickly now...

Be cautious on those roads around Farties over weekends....As David mentioned they are attractions for the speedsters...bikers and others who will simply disregard your presence....

Reminds me of a bike a friend bought...He said it was the only bike he's ever had to pedal downhill to keep going due to the weight!

Up nice and early for a ride this fine Monday morning....With the crappy weather this weekend I couldnt be bothered with mud and the associated headaches/costs! Had 50mm around here....good news for the mielies!

I once saw a mates parrot destroy 2 bic lighters in a row...In a matter of seconds....No worries from the parrot when the gas came whoosing out... After that I decided to never piss a parrot off....(before this I didnt realise how hardcore a beak can be!)

Lol...I buy what I can as finances permit and use most of it and replace as it wears... I never really get to hoard/save anything!
