TIA IF you are riding around Magalies this weekend please ensure you have a small decent pair of wire cutters and a sharp knife on hand....keep your eyes open as a couple of those snares just appeared from nowhere...

Last year I updated my ABSA app and then I had endless issues....had to go into town to the branch.... When I got the new phone last month I just had to provide my ATM card number and its PIN number and then the app was verified.

I don't know whats up with FNB...with my mom they wanted to charge me a fee to pick up her bank card in the bank or it was free if it was couriered....except the courier couldn't find her plot so we had to pay to collect the card....?

Got the new phone about a month ago now....I will have to go into town and deal with a clown... Can't wait.....

Its my moms account and I've made numerous payments this month for her...well over the R300 mark...? I wanted to add a new beneficiary for her and that's when I noticed the phone was not verified.... All other payments were made to pre-existing beneficiaries that basically receive the same payment amounts each month...

My old phone no longer worked...so I bought a new phone...sorted out banking app with ABSA, no problems there removing the old phone and adding in my new phone but there is an issue with FNB... FNB wants to submit a validation code/QR to my old phone so I can use this to validate against the new phone...except the old phone doesn't work...so these thieves now want to charge me R300+ to validate the new phone? Anyone else had this issue? I can't believe this is actually acceptable and legal? I can't believe I cannot simply go to the bank and sort this out....with ABSA all I had to do was remove the old phone, answer a few questions and that was it.... Verbatim from FNB: You need to make a payment of R300 and above from your Banking App profile and it will automatically verify itself after 7 days. RB Incidentally its taken almost a week to get an answer on this....I guess that R300 doesn't go into customer service....!

Some of that route passed through Magalies where I am incarcerated and I didn't see any route markers on my travels today....

Its actually not too bad, its a small town and a quiet taxi rank.only busy for a few hours a day..and the guys always stop for me at the stop street when I need to get across the road! Also makes it easy to buy what you need...smokes...beer...weed....rizlas etc......

At least most of the veld round here was burnt just before we had that bit of rain a few weeks back. Otherwise it would be worse with all that black dust going everywhere.... Anyway...just another couple of months till summer.....

Come on summer...this place is lovely when its green and the streams are flowing and the trees have leaves...only plus to the veld fire is I can see where all the sodding rocks are hiding....
