  1. I struggle to get my HR up in spinning classes. After 5 minutes I am lucky If I reach 160. Cycling at Kyalami I can get my HR up to 175 after 2.5-3 minutes (mineshaft). Doesn't make sense to me???
  2. Who was the other TBL rider in the main peleton, finished with Vino or the group just ahead of them? I think that Soler can go for the Polka dot jersey. Rasmussen will be too busy defending the yellow??Gumpole2007-07-18 01:22:51
  3. we were the group of 12 coming in the opposite direction in the orange club100, blue yellow mtn club 100 and whitish lotus/microsoft gear... with all the changes to kit we should rename ourselves 'Club bastard'
  4. So TBL has: 6/9 top ten finishes a stage win (in the mountains nogal) currently second in the polka dot jersey currently third in the green jersey currently third in the white jersey ... and ahead of all the *** French teams in the team competition
  5. I had a look at the website, very interesting that Rasmussen endorses there product. Rasmussen is a brilliant cyclist (in the yellow jersey too)... but apparently weights his cycling jerseys! I think that this attitude sums up the whole ceramic bearing debate!
  6. Gumpole

    Mcewen OUT

Well presumably Boonen wont finish either (my feeling) which leaves Zabel, Hushovd and Robbie fighting over the jersey
  7. riding in pretoors ... 2 of them, near a railway line going N... was that Jason and Michelle?
  8. How did Robbie manage to lose 7 minutes from that position? crash? or did he realise that he wasn't going to win any points and instead took it easy to start stronger tomorrow - smart move
  9. so spinnekop... I thought that the sprinters teams would absolutely control this stage into belgium? I thought that breakaways never ever succeeded? .. this one almost did
  10. depends on for how long... I'm sure I could produce about 600w for maybe 10s... If I could keep it up for an hour I would be a world beater. For the power guru guys... If I AVERAGED 200w for a race like the argus, spending a lot of the time in the slipstream what kind of time would I be looking at?? assume no wind and I weigh 80kg incl bike, clothing helmet etc. 4 hrs, 3.5, under 3??
  11. On Sunday they thought RH had won the stage and then the finish line didn't appear. got my heart in my mouth.
  12. Wheel colour clashes with frame colour, seatpost looks like somebody backed into a garage with bike on a roof rack. Cant believe there aren't much more aero wheels out there cranks? NO for me.
  13. Fulcrum are very good wheels (I own a pair ), designed anf built in italy by Campy, who are probably the best wheel builders in the business... BUT all that means is that they aren't the best value for money bracket. For 2.5k I wouldn't get the 7s, which weigh a ton if I'm not mistaken - check out their website.
  14. What colour is the bike? (the pic is B+W)
  15. No necessarily, remember that LA used to also consult the good DR, for physical training advice only... Vino's diary entry: 12th June: visit DR and get him to give me a course of 'VAM'
  16. hey how do i find this club chat room thing?
  17. exactly, I am moving my mouse with 24watts (average this morning), I have a very high rate of left clicks too - 110/ minute.
  18. Heheh and they 'dumbed' down from Record - great advert for Merc
  19. Call me a cycnic, call me naive.. but come on people, think with your brains. Suddenly there are huge drug confessions in the in Team Telekom (the team that Riis won the TDF with). His 'lieutenent' in that race, Ullrich, is days or weeks away from being bust.. Somebody WILL spill the beans on him, out of fear, or a reduced sentence or whatever. Riis new 100% that he was going to be discovered and did the logical damage limitation exercise. He is no hero for confessing, as he new he was going to be bust anyway.
  20. exactly, as there are so many other doping controversies he hopes that he will get away with it (or a more lenient punishment).. a bit like the weak riders hiding missing the time controls in the mountains but being safe in the numbes of the autobus!
  21. fair enough. I was trying to have a dig at the 'dale fans but I think they are all asleep still (or riding?)
  22. Not necessarilly, just that any company that will stick with a certain technology unflinchingly is backward!, be it a geometry, a way of joining tubes, a frame material or a choice of groupsets.
  23. I think its bee-a-utiful. (a little like a 3 year old kuota/orca, but beautiful none the less) Good bye to the boring old treks/madones of yesteryear! Its good to see Trek joining that other backward American cycling manufacturer and ditching last decades technology to try and match (maybe even beat) the korean/taiwanese cutting edge stuff.
