  1. Listen to the Main Cheese... he has a Frenchikaans, or is it a Spanglish accent, having spent his time in Andorra.
  2. I see Kim Le Court is on the start list; same team as Ashley. #AdoptedSaffa
  3. James Barnes in the race
  4. I thought this was a fabrication (fiction), but apparently it’s truthfully (truth) correct.
  5. The same is being said in the US of A… in that they have to subscribe to Flo Sports (I think) or another provider. Much like the monopoly here. Many there say they won’t pay for a subscription to stuff they don’t want just to get cycling. Seems being outside of Europe is a problem.
  6. Her not being here for the last year makes sense after she explained where she was... boom bada bing, she ended up in Switzerland. I've done one race in A-bunch, which I see she was in the bunch, that was before she rode with the Cycle Nation ladies team.
  7. Enginuity! Wonder if this braai would take off.
  8. If you use Intervals.icu you can use my shared 0-5Km training plan, which goes up to 10Km in 14 weeks. I've used it twice before, and just started again after a few years of running hibernation.
  9. Most e-bike riders are tired of being asked if they can charge my gadgets while out riding.
  10. My time didn’t record that year; and my rear tyre was a little pap. 😂
  11. Like the paper straws they give you for drinks that are in a plastic container.
  12. I should have Googled… they are an authorised online retailer
  13. I thought Oculux was the importer, as they supply product via Takealot. Melissa - customercare at oculux dot co dot za
  14. I’ve tried the Purity baby food, a banana, apple and yoghurt. It’s cheaper than the 20-25g gels, with about the same energy. Not worth the effort to try keep enough for the longer rides.
  15. Also, how much did you eat and drink while out riding?
  16. looking at the elevation profile, I can see it was the Ride for Sight. It’s a fast start, mostly descending for the first 40km, before the rolling elevation starts, the wind in your face, the extra warm temperatures and any fatigue from over doing it in the perceivable easy start. If you are chasing the groups, and burning matches, it’s very easy to fall apart in the second half.
  17. Is this by any chance the Ride for Sight race that you did?
  18. https://www.bikecalc.com/archives/development-meters.html use this website to put your gearing into. This will tell you how many meters you will cover with each full rotation. https://www.bikecalc.com/tables/index.html the second link allows you to calculate the speed at a specific cadence.
  19. I have a used, but fully functional, shifter available, if you want to arrange a deal. Send me a PM. Not mint condition, not like-new.
  20. Jumped on the Ride for Sight route, watched the Elite’s passing us, at our halfway point, and two leading ladies about 15km from their finish. Otherwise no other bunches came close to catching us. IMG_2865.mov The timing between the ladies and the Vets starting was a cause for concern, and raised on a club WA group. No wonder they ride with the short distance riders over the final 25km. Roads were in good nick.
  21. or if your arms were longer

Two games in hand, after a back-to-winning-ways game midweek: I can imagine his talks in recent weeks… f’ing hell lads
  23. We must have the same optician, as I have the same problem.
  24. Yes, I keep them separated, and even that’s not enough.
  25. RacePro was designed to be a single bottle feed, in that you can put 2.5 to 3 servings in one bottle… 10-12 scoops in one 600ml bottle. It’s a big difference having 243g of energy in a single bottle vs 67g in a bottle of Race.
