Everything at Sportsmans is expensive. Ex. CO2 catridges go for R10 a piece at Cyclelab at sportsmans they are R20 The only time I buy anything from sportsmans is if they have a sale and even then you got to know your prices

I would DEFINITELY book a wine farm tour both you and wife will really enjoy the day out. If anything you must do this. Take a couple of bucks or a credit card so you can buy some of the wine to take home. You cant buy a lot of the wine from Makro. Just a cautionary note ! the wine starts to taste better and better as the day continues but is NOT necessarily better . Been a few years so cant remember the name of the wine farm but we started our wine tour with some "Sparkling wine" tasting. Now I'm not a champagne dude but that stuff was brilliant. I'll ask my wife tonight what the name of the farm was.

This is going to cause a major uproar besides the many hours of training what about the costs incurred. Airfares, accommodation, bike transport etc etc and event like this can cost a single person R10000 never mind a team of 3 people. What are team sponsors going to think ? Do the organizers realize how much effort goes into finding sponsors for a team then only to find out the event was cancelled and the money has gone down the tubes. What about the people flying from overseas ? Surely they must have known a while back things were NOT going to happen. How can you cancel the event 3 weeks before !!!!! They knew what the minimum criteria was for this race to happen many months ago. 2012 for Challenge Capetown is not going to happen as far as I am concerned.

Just checked does not look like it. But no reason to think otherwise. I cant do 70.3 in Jan so if they do cancel i'll be pretty The BSG folks have got it waxed. All will go well.

Dont forget Global11 at Sun City ( I think 3 or 4 weeks from now) then BSG Ultra Dec 16 just to check your progress for 70.3

Reason for cancellation ?????????

I bought a pair of specialized pro foldables about 8 weeks ago. Cost me R400 each, I have done maybe 300km on them . What a load of rubbish !! I have had 4 punctures since and then yesterday what should have been my sunday long ride (turned into a 5km short ride) the rear tyre bursts (2 inches) open along the tread pattern. Clearly a manufacturing defect. My wife of course was most impressed having to get out of bed to come collect me. Now I got to go and buy a set Gatorskins or GP4000's thats gonna cost me an extra R700 to a R1000 lets hope the conti's are better

I love the speedo and chick's top in the blog picture where can i get a matching outfit like that ? if I ever get caught in a race with someone wearing gear like that i'll quit triathlon period they would have to carry me off on a stretcher i'd be laughing such much
