I have a mate in the UK who rides a KTM MTB, he raves about it, not sure about how it compares to other brands available in SA price wise, but if it is for sale at cyclelab I would guess that you could pick up an equivalently spec'd bike elswhere for less. I think Merida is offering some of the best value at the moment.

Just pick your races, I have cut down on some of the more overpriced events in the Cape such as the Cobra and the 99'er just because there are other events over pretty much the same routes for half the price or less. I just do one or two classics in the year for the Argus seeding

Ok question from the Sky site, the right hand side of the anterior fork is thicker and more angled than the left, whats up with that? I understand why seat and chain stays can be different dimensions and thickness to offset drive stresses but not the front fork surely. and now I know why the bike cost R160 k, because it does not have a front fork like most bikes but rather an anterior fork.

You can put a Shimano HG 61 9Spd on it, R350 at CWC

I use the Specialized BG gloves which have a alarmingly large get pad, that IMO works realy well. You could also look at a different bar or step which could change your riding positon. Are you on Road or MTB?

Yea it is a bit rude. I think that is more expensive than the one tonner. I dont need it for my Argus seeding so I think I will skip it. I got an email saying that the route has changed but aside from saying that it starts at Nelson's Wine Estate, there is no other detail. I don't feel like paying that price for a boring jaunt around the boland. At least with the old route you got the old hels hoogte thrown in.

I upgraded to Eastons some time ago, fab wheels, I dont think I would buy another brand. Solid and quick. Low rolling resistance, even spoke tension, aero design and lightweight construction means that they spin up fast
