  2. @Cearus - that`s what she said!
  3. @Zac.A - Ill thank you now - thank you! That will work well - should be about 15mm clearance at the back - what volume tyre is at the back? 2.2 or 2.0? Where did you find a wheelset & tyres? I have a Sid up front - should have enough space for a 650B?
  4. Can anyone pull the pics Mtbr? I dying to see what I can do with my Zula. Very happy I didnt sell it last week!
  5. There was a guy that did an IM on his snow bike - DBL tyres - 4.5 front and back. he did finish but said that the bike took a lot out of him.

  7. My only request would be 1 inch broad leg grippers! The thin ones are so tight they almost cut off circulation.
  8. So is a crack ho - but I wouldnt ride one of those either! Good looking frame - very nice!
  9. Just one big bag of courage for me!
  10. Plenty of factors to play with here but I recon but with all this being equal: 94.7 - 3h59 should give you a Argus - 04:12 That is just an estimate but should be a good motivator to put some ham on it and aim for sub 4! Enjoy!
  11. Its all trail and error. Here`s a scenario - my brother and I - same height but he is 107kg, Im 84. Racing in 25 degree heat - I take 1 bottle an hour, he takes 1.5 Racing in 35 degree heat - I take 1.5 bottle per hour - he takes 2.5 + gel You need to make sure you stay topped up!!! Even in cold you need to eat/drink more as the body uses energy as "firewood" No real formula I know of but try to spot the signs before they happen - hence trail & error. All about knowing what you can do and how hard you can go before blowing. Personally - I go better in the rain for some reason. Listen carefully to your body!!!! Hope that helps!
  12. You cant really go wrong with a Sid! I do stupid stuff - more guts that talent - and have never had any problems - just service regularly! As for the QR vs Thru - Ive always ridden QR, never had any problems. I cant comment on the Eastons - never ridden them.
  13. There was a guy selling a Deore groupset new a few days ago for 4K At that price its well worth it.
  14. I take it he has been picked up by an international team - any ideas who? The article seems to lean to the idea that Max owes them but I think it was a very simbiotic relationship - he won almost everything for them giving them great exposure - but in the same breath, maybe they expeted some more loyalty after he was "man overboard" and they picked him up? Truth be told - If I had a team I would also like him to stay longer. maybe the contract should have been 3 years? Any inside info?
  15. I go there. I spin there about 3 times a week. Put it on facebook so I can "like" it!
  16. Nice one Nolipoli, I think you might just have to set the crank 1 or two chain links back or forward so that both canks have the same Top of dead centre to optimise power - I recommend putting a quick link in the chain that sincronizes the two cranks for easy adjustment. Should work fine - send us a pic once your done!
  17. I didnt like mine - too much flex and too soft - dented them twice, but then again Im a bit heavier than most and ride aggressively. By far prefered my Fulcrum Red Metals - Personal opinion. AM`s now on my wife`s bike.
  18. Peric victory - if anything!
  19. People only look at waht is on your bike when its standing still! Ride hard enough that they cant see through the blood in their eyes. If you can pass me or keep up - I will respecignize no matter what component mix you are running! If I pass you - I wont waste a thought on weather you did or did not mix brands. My 2C
  20. Mongoose is backed by Omnico - not sure who does Kona.
  21. Sign me up for the OneTen!!!!! After the Zula - I`ll take what ever he has on offer!
  22. Hey Lori, Dont think your crankset is the problem - sounds more like a Power to Weight ratio problem. Here are some options: 1. Build more power - do high rep - 15/25 - Squat/Lunge ect 2. Run/pwer walk uphills repeats - 30m hill X 8 repeats - take your dog with and make it an outing - make sure you feel it! 3. Plyometrics - Burpies/box jumps - explosive excersizes 4. Running will help with everything - just start slow and prevent injury. 5. If you have a gym membership - spin/joga/core You can do most of these at home and wont take too much time - just do something 3 - 5 time per week and you will see the impovements. The weight will come off by itself - sowly but surely. Enjoy!
  23. Valid point from cyfermaster! We should get to the point where you have 1 regualting body - 1 race nr - 1 compatabile timing company. Currently I have 4 diff timing chips - what`s the point?
  24. "Did you say go, or did you say No!" Applicable to so many other situations!!!!!!!
  25. Hey Weenie, Where is this? Give me some directions. Thanx
