X.O components are great - I have been riding them for about 4 year without any issues. I enjoy the crispness of the shifting vs the slower shifting of Shimano. 3kg should make a big diff to your riding and full suss should give you more confidence. The only let down I have on X.o is that the cassette seems to wear out fast than an XT casette - however, seeing that you weigh less than my sandwich, this should not be a problem. If the price is right - got for it by all means, you wont be dissapointed.

If they are new it is possible that they still need to "imbed" on the rotors. If they are 2nd hand, they might need to be bled. Could also be that the pads have picked up some kind of contamination - try a new set of pads and clean the rotors with and spirits or brake cleaner.

I fitted a Sugaro in Underberg in -1 on a set of these. Can be done but it was a 2 man job. Keep the hair dyer handy if you struggle.

They are the TITS! I had to pay more than Dbl to get a wheelset of the same caliber. Solid wheels - never had to true them once and super stiff! Cant go wrong!

I prefer the look of the Salsa - the Superlight always has a funny looking rear triangle. That being said - the Spearfish will prob be a little cheaper that the SC - talk to Ngala24. However - if you are looking to do more free-ride - I think the SC might be better suited. Salsa will prob be a bit lighter.

*Flame suit on* I am dissapionted with the direction they went in - regarding the shock design on the OneTen29. I just dont like the way it looks! I by far prefer what they did with the Zula - less hassle, more control. Spez, Salsa, Fisher ect all went the other way - wish PYGA did the same! Duel suss would prob sell better. See if you can spec Fox or have the option to choose. Tyres will be the big one to get. Im looking to convert my Zula - looking for a 1.9 low profile for the back. Keep us up to date.
