  1. Hey Nige, Sure no one have ever said this to you before but that is that`s the biggest one I have ever seen!
  2. Only when they can blame it for something!
  3. Hope Tech lever is fully adjustable - Brake pad contact, reach ect. The race lever is just a smaller/lighter unit with the same adjust ability through smaller grub screws - allen key bolts - in stead of the Tech lever bigger bolts. Modulation is the feel feedback of the lever as you pull it. On some brakes there is nothing, nothing, nothing and then all of a sudden - lockup. With Hope you have much more control over how much "brake" or brake force you apply! Cant comment on XTR.
  4. More than likely the thread is stripped inside the crank arm rather than a bent axle. Swap out the pedals and see what happens? I`ve done some stupid things but never managed to bend a pedal axle - but I could happen I guess. I mean if a chick can fall pregnant from watching 3D porn while her husband is in Irak - I guess it could happen.
  5. You have them in the correct order in your title! I have M4`s and X2`s - Will never look back - even at 85kg, stopping was never an issue - check out my signature and you`ll understand!
  6. I had 680`s on my 26` when I built it over to a 29` it just felt to narrow. I now run a 720 on a 29 full suss - never had issues - did Cullinan and fitted through the tunnel - even the tight last single track coming form fountains ending up at the gate to Groenkloof - its tight but I make it through. My mate did the same thight route and got stuck with a 640 bar. All in riding style I guess.
  7. Team Coro Capital - Rattlesnake & Vinnydabutcher - Race. Gonna be fun to find out if I can climb!
  8. If you want to sell your entry to me for a drastically reduced rate - let me know!!!!! Would love to do that race but the price tag is a bit big!
  9. I run my 720`s sweeping up - helps me get my elbows out for better control and releases pressure on my lower back - I ride more XC & Marathon though.
  10. I'll see you fella`s out there! Mrs da butcher gave me the weekend off after some good behavior from my side! Really keen to get out there - never been but only heard good things!
  11. Whatever makes you ride harder! And if you have to ask - HTFU!
  12. How she remains so up beat I don`t know. Does CSA know about anything that goes on in local races? Do they even attend or review results? Looks more like a Marie Antionette type rule. We all know how that ended.
  13. Should be fine - just go to a irrigation or bearing/seals shop soon as you can to get a new one. Make sure you clean out and re-grease once you have the new seals.
  14. I see what you did there!
  15. Any rotor with any brakes - just make sure of sizing: 160 - no spacers Avid normally run 183 Hope normally 185 Shimamo normally 180 Just check which spacer you need
  16. This was related to Jr riders and schools series but yes, its easier to go from speed to distance than the other way around - same in running. It can be done - but it takes real commitment.
  17. Both good bikes - Spark is easier on the wallet. Epic is a great bike + then you can brag that there will be no revolution in Namiba since you invested the guerilla army budget somewhere else.
  18. Momentum = Mass X Velocity
  19. What is the Date of 2013 XCM - can someone do a countdown timer please! I recon it should be at the top right corner of the Home page!
  20. Im willing to pay petrol money to see this!
  21. My un-educated guess is that the pads are contaminated. New pads and a cleaning of the rotor should sort it out. Someone prob was a little over-exited with the lube/polish. Most bike shops wont touch the brakes unless you specifically ask for it so thats why Im guessing is contamination. Take it back to them - stand by as they clean the rotor and replace the pads - test the bike. If that sorts out the problem - tell them they can sort out the invoice internally. Remember to smile and wave as you leave.
  22. it turned out better than I was hoping! Really nice ride. We were in the second AL bunch and had a cop bike that rode with us through most of town - only had to slow down once for and intersection. Really great ride - went back to go fetch a friend and ride in with her - that is went a motorist with a dbl wide trailer decided it is our fault for being in the way and clipped me. from what I understand, I was only the second casualty of the day - just roasties for both of us. I can understand the frustration from motorist - maybe just have more notice signs up next year. All and all a great day - Good riding and now to shop for some new bibs after my "karvoevel" with the trailer. To the orginizers - great job - hope that this race becomes an annual event.
  23. Saguaro Front - Slant Six Back. No issues
  24. We have been looking at this side of the market for a while now - seeking something to specifically to the needs of cyclists. I was made by cyclists for cyclists. Only the best and healthiest ingredients will do. We have our Recovery Booster ready and waiting but we have decide to keep that launch official back a few week to co-inside with the release of our 3rd flavor on the Marathon racing fuel. It has been developed with the help of a Pro Mountain biker - that shall remain un-named for now - as he has just moved sponsors and we are still in negotiation with him and his sponsor to sign him on as the official face of our products. We have sent some sample off to randomly selected Hubbers for review and we will also have a Hubber special upon the official launch. All the info is available on the website and orders can also be placed. Check it out at : www.singletrackfuel.com If anyone has any questions or needs any other info - feel free to contact me at vinceATsingletrackfuelDOTcom Its still a little on the down low un till the official launch but this thead just can not be ingnored.
