  1. The last decent SA contender other than GM was Andrew Neethling. I don't think Theo has the drive (hunger) to make it as a racer. Edit: I reckon his drive is aimed at the freeride/fest series side of MTB.
  2. Hi! I just spotted this link on OneDayOnly.co.za and I figured you'd like it too: Cento1 Hybrid Racing Bike with 45Nm Torque Motor Check it out here: https://www.onedayonly.co.za/products/cento1-hybrid-racing-bike-with-45nm-torque-motor https://www.onedayonly.co.za/products/cento1-hybrid-racing-bike-with-45nm-torque-motor Some other Wilier ebikes up as well.
  3. I picked these up at Cape Coffee Beans this morning. V60 pour-over and some Legado Alberto Salazar beans. The combo of pour over (and not a milky drink) and some really special beans blew me away with flavours that I wasn't expecting. It's like it isn't coffee, but it's coffee.
  4. Are they not one of the fastest strikers around? My rule of thumb with puffies is to stay at least twice the length of the puffy away from said puffy. Even if that means bushwacking to get around it.
  5. True, the 32mm stanchions didn't become bad overnight, that is why I still have mine. But I won't buy a new 120mm or more bike with 32mm stanchions. No chance. that is what dsenya noted.
  6. I have a 120mm Reba (32mm stanchions,) and a 150mm Pike (35mm stanchions.)There is a chalk and cheese difference that becomes apparent when you ride both. Okay, on gravel roads the 32mm forks are fine, but when it gets fun, you feel the flex. In this case, ignorance is bliss. There is not a snowballs chance in hell that I'd spend money now on a 32mm fork longer than 100mm.
  7. Ferrari did make a cheaper car for the "entry level" market. The poverty spec is the California. But like the Supercaliber, you are still buying a lot of car for a lot of money.
  8. Madison Saracen is getting a lashing on instagram for their bad PR. https://www.instagram.com/p/CGRyptUHdLk/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link I like Danny, hope he has a great season next year. Edit: I see someone with the Handle of @pauljameshart has commented on it as well, saying that Danny is better off out of such a toxic environment.
  11. A while back I posted how my wife needs a goal event to be properly motivated to train, and now she has entered us for the 20km Maxi Race in December around stellies. It seems the organizers feel that they can pull it off, I don't care much, as I now have a trail running partner in Wifey. The last time we trained together was before she got pregnant, so I'm lank stoked at having an adventure buddy again. Yesterday we went for a run on about half of what I think the event route could be. 10kms in the mountain above stellies. Yes please. Hopefully I can continue chasing her around the mountains in our area long after the event.

Nothing wrong with being sentimental. I just don't want to sell it, and I refuse to hand it in to the police if I can't get a license for it. Then I'll rather have it as a mantel piece than not know where it ended up. But there are many avenues to exhaust before that needs to be done.

Thanks The local fire arm policeman referred me to a lady to go do competency with, and she helps with the licensing, and also told me to join a club and do enough shoots and then she puts a motivation packet together with all of this. But he said it shouldn't be an issue. My dad has a BSA .22 that I will also inherit one day, may as well do them all together if that helps my case. I have time, so I'll do it properly. And if all else fails and every dirty trick also fails, then I'll have a gunsmith disable it after doing ballistics so that I can deregister it and put it on a mantel piece and at least keep the heirloom.

There is a .22Hornet heirloom with my name on it. It used to belong to my mothers grandpa, went to my grandpa, when my uncle passed away it was supposed to go to me, but I was 9 at the time, so it went to my mother, who now wants to pass it on to me. I'll start with my competency, and sommer do competency for the pistol as well. I won't go hunting with it, there is a 7x57 for that, but the Hornet is a very lekker teiken skiet gun. I'm curious about the history of it. Its a ZKW 456 .22Hornet. Does anyone know where to check for the date of manufacture or how to read it from the serial number?
  16. Bella Vista. Opskud, daar mag dalk nog plek wees as julle wil saam kamp.
  17. Ja my gewete hou my ook soms terug.
  18. With all the soggy sections I've picked Danny Hart as my big gun.
  19. Weekend Pass and camp site booked. I can't wait!
  20. No one sees your fantasy league team, gooi the Frenchies. I did something similar.
  21. Comment withdrawn. My apologies for typing before thinking.
  22. I used to doubt my local roaster's roasting dates, as it was always yesterday. And then I chatted to him and learned that he only roasts 2.5kg at a time, so he roasts every day. I now also understand why it always smells amazing there.
  23. Impact injuries are a risk when you ramp up your mileage too quickly. Take it slowly at first.
  24. For a moment I thought you lived in Durbanville. But then I saw better. But here riding a dual sus racer is de rigueur for gravel biking.
