  1. No idea, didn't ask it's name..it happened on Delilah, after the switchback.
  2. And then on the way down this happened. sigh.
  3. I went for a ride up Helderberg on the 31st.
  4. I had a plan to make an art piece out of a sentimental (but cracked) frame. That frame has been in the roof of my garage for 10 years. It went into the refuse with a big clean up a few months ago.
  5. https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10157448823485566&id=551915565 It seems that not much has changed since you left your 4x4 community tour group high and dry by pretending to go fetch firewood and left them there.
  6. What a lovely story. I will admit though, while I am still far off in terms of the fortune, I have started getting hours in on the boat to do my skippers. Hopefully I will be licensed by the end of 2021. And then one day I will buy and restore an old sailboat. Preferably a catamaran. But comparing my dad's spend on his boat and fishing with my MTB habit would be akin to comparing a heroin addiction to the vague recollection of something salty. But I've always found a way to make things work when I'm patient....
  7. Thanks for the reality check. I was going to go to 43 Air school, had everything lined up and planned out in st9 already. Then we were involved in a bad landing that bent the Cessna (170 iirc) somewhat. We got out without injuries, but that rattled me a bit and I decided to take a gap year after school. Gap year became b.comm, became a job in Cape Town where I met a pretty girl and 16 years later I'm married with kids et al. But still I yearn to to do a PPL and fly out of Stellenbosch. A mate of mine went to the 43rd intake that I was supposed to go to, he spent half his working life in Africa, and now flys for Safair. Knowing what I do now I'm not sure whether I would swap for that. But still I yearn to fly out of Stellenbosch....
  8. Fortunately influencers don't bother with CSA. Ps: there are many helmet gopros at the enduro events. All on break away mounts. The Commisaire had no issue with it.
  9. Like so? https://m.facebook.com/groups/usedcoffeeequipmentsa/permalink/897196697754618/?anchor_composer=false&ref=bookmarks Sorry, I missed the single lever part.
  10. I'm leaning towards poor quality manufacturing. But it is at least 10 years old as well. I haven't had rust issues on anything else. Somerset West is far enough from the sea. I've instructed my wife to remind me that my coffee machine was also made in Italy whenever I mention Alfa Romeo. It still makes great coffee, but it is held together with duct tape....
  11. Found Specht Design on insta, and suddenly I want to make a new case for my Oscar. My Oscar's frame is rusted through, may as well doll it up when I make a new frame for it. https://instagram.com/specht_design?igshid=2qw3i2b0phok
  12. Unless Irons has some farmer connections, he is probably talking about taking the Highlands road to the Kleinmond turnoff, then hooking a left to the Karwyderskraal road, and then following that to the Hemel & Aarde Valley. Plan properly and get permits beforehand and you can even drop into the H&A trails for some pudding. Edit: Link with route and POIs https://goo.gl/maps/YoECreYdrLR5ykNYA
  13. have mercy on whomever has the misfortune of washing your windows.
  14. Baloo. 40kgs of who goes there?
  15. Did they add some braai magic?
  16. She may have had less than stellar results, but don't under estimate the value of her social media following. Add her long history at Trek into that as well. They may not have been willing to pay the same price she commanded the last couple of years, but that is pure speculation.
  17. That reminds me, we need a better bread knife. I have a piece of off cut meranti here from my coffee pour over stand that will become a knife block similar to yours once the pour over is done.
  18. But she still managed to avenge her unborn puppies by eating Wifey's laptop cable.
  19. Bella had her Snip yesterday. Now she is feeling very sorry for herself.
  20. Between my brother and I we managed to deplete the medical savings account by June every year. Good luck. May the odds be ever in your favor.
  21. handbrake applied? It seems to be stationary at an intersection.
  22. I reckon you should be safe as long as you don't go to that Edward guy with the sharp fingers. I'm on a diy binge today. Repainting the bike room, and going for a Helderberg ride this arvie. What are can go wrong?
  23. Has been done before, no one died.
