  1. Sal julle volgende week join!
  2. Drie brands wat bespreek was : Clicks : No Name ; Solgar L-Glutamine, Health Shop by Monument park ( Sal terugkom na jou toe oor die naam ).
Daar is in my opinie baie voordele waarby iemand kan baat wat gereeld hard oefen, ek het hiervan uitgevind by my fisio.
  4. I have the Recon Gold Solo air on my HT. Definitely not a Reba( Dual Air Fork ), but I'm still impressed by mine especially after the service. Weight advantage over coil.
  5. Sounds cool. Always nice to have different variations close by. Will definitely be willing to help with trail building if we can ride there for free .
  6. I agree with Witkop to a certain extend. I feel that on a Saturday after four for example, it's not a bad option to try and do the route in reverse. As this will definitely challenge your skills in a very different way, with the point being for our more serious trail users to do just that, especially if you have done that route at least 20 or 30 times in one direction. I also think that you must make as much room possible for trail users from the front.
  7. Thanks. Yes. Got hold of the technical call centre number. Will give that a try.
  8. Dankie WW. Ken vir ZA store. Sal more bel. Ek is net regtig gatvol vir die Menlyn iStore se diens. Wil aspris daar weg bly.
  9. Thanks Kosmonooit. Will give them a ring. Everything seems to work perfect, just the battery not charging... Also found out that the port differs for firewire 400 and 800, so I would need the adaptor, rather than a new cable.
  10. Please ignore this post. Trying to delete it.

  12. Good day Hubbers, Is there a shop selling Apple products in Pta apart from the iStore in Menlyn( which I try to ignore at all times), that can give expert advice and good service? This may sound stupid : Not familiar with a Macbook Pro peripherals apart from USB I tried to insert a 4pin firewire cable into the Firewire 800 port( Looks surprisingly allot like it would fit, with the Firewire logo to it's left ) , which resulted in a short, switching the Mac off and " Not charging " message . Since you have to get a Apple specific firewire cable ( knowing that now ), I'l want to do that tomorrow ASAP, as both my HDD's stopped working this week( Luckily backed up) and now have to record the week's clients on my Macbook Pro. Definitely not the best news to tell artists that doesn't appreciate how dependent our studios are on technology. Any recommendations will be appreciated. Regards, Dub

  14. Hmmm. Was thinking of doing this XCO event. Must I be jealous of not competing?
  15. Glad you like your bike! Also have a SB in the stable. Ventura is a excellent bike choice! Glad our locals could be of service. Pay it forward is the lesson to be learnt.
  16. Also look at upgrading your cassette to a XT. Better shifting performance and allot of weight to be saved for the price you pay.
  17. On the the SB Phoenix. Are you happy with the bike / decision? Depends on the budget. Options(3) : 1.Wheelset is probably the best idea as far as R/grams saved ratio. 2.Going tubeless will also help for overall performance, with a good wheelset also helping with handling and rotational acceleration. 3.Foldable tubeless ready tires is also an option but I would not recommend it , at this stage ( R/grams saved raio the best you will get ) It's also very easy to transfer the light wheelset to your next bike when you sell the SB with the original wheelset ( Which will still be newish). A fork upgrade on that bike will end up being the most expensive component. Relative to the bike's price and components. Upgrading the fork isn't the best R/grams saved ratio. Its more a handling upgrade opposed to a weight saving. Taking new prices as an example : A Reba Race will cost you +- R4500 with weight saving of probably not more than 400grams( not sure about the weight of the fork), compared to the air fork on the SB. Ratio : R11.25 per grams saved. If it's a coil fork that ratio must be re-avaluated. 2nd hand prices must also be evaluated. With a wheelset you will easily get to 500 grams or more of weight saving with for instance a Ritchey WCS wheelset at R2800 @ 1560grams. Ratio : R2800/500 = R5.60 / grams saved. In other words on average upgrading the wheelset for weight saving purposes is almost half the price cheaper opposed to upgrading a fork for that purpose.
  18. Here we go...
  19. +1 on the Spectra, Weight is something like 11.5kg's straight out of the box. Nice wheelset, with red sealed hubs and decent groupset parts. Recon Gold is also not bad at all. Best bang for buck IMO. If you know how to maintain and service your bike properly, this bike will run like a dream. If I had to start again from scratch and know what I know now, I would definitely get myself one of those, no questions asked.
  20. Hmmm, I think we did ok for a first after the grass was burnt. There were no ride scheduled for the 30th June. Will definitely be there next week to see the master navigators in action Still was a fun nite out. PS. WW, get a Ninjaclava!
  21. According to Scott geometry charts I am at the upper limit of a medium. Would like to try out a Large. Not that popular size. Longer stem moved to top of steerer made a very big difference.
  22. Hmmmm. I have the same problem with my Spark Medium. I'm 180cm. I ride a large 19.1" hardtail that fits me perfectly.
