  1. Just finished Season 2 of Justified. Not too bad so far.
  2. Just an observation that the gloss will have a reflective surface (Like from a window or doorway in that room). If you sit there during the day the reflection from the sun outside off the floor can be a bit blinding as can the reflection of down lights while you watch TV etc )OK not blinding but distracting). We went with the satin finish if I remember correctly. It isn't matt or rough but it is satin enough to just take the smooth finish off and reduce the reflection.
  3. When we had our floors done, they were sealed with a clear polyurethane varnish. Think it was a DECO pruduct. Hasn't worn through over the years (probably around 12 years ago) but it has scratched a bit in the high traffic areas.
  4. Probably a good idea. You'd go to jail if you got caught...
  5. Been using one for years now. No hassle at all. Rinse it when you rinse the cover and the press. Once a week you flip it over and do a reverse rinse with hot water. None of my holes are blocked.
  6. It is possible if your photoshop game is strong
  7. Oh thanks goodness. I thought I was the only one...
  8. Saddle bags aren't cool but #enduro fanny packs are.....?
  9. There are two of you... You meet all the criteria
  10. I bet it hurt like a SOB...
  11. Like that's going to happen.....
  12. I used to play Tombraider on the original Play Station. My wife still does a pretty good impersonation of Lara as she climbed up onto a ledge. She used to go to bed and I'd stay up playing till all hours. (Guess sound travels a bit further at night...) Used to get frustrated with some levels when you couldn't get something right. Lost count of the number of times Lara swallow dived off a cliff onto the ground below!
  13. Damn... Guess that limits the options then. Already have a fair amount spent on PC games across the already mentioned game sites.
  14. So if you have purchased a game for PC, you are unable to play against someone online who has it on PS4?
  15. I am going to throw one more Hail Mary at it tonight. Unplug everything, take it to the garage and blow it clean. Redo the heat sink paste on the CPU, re-plug everything after cleaning all the contact pins with IPA and see what happens. Mate has offered a spare PSU to see if that might be the problem. Will also change out the battery and see what happens (A cheap enough test even if it isn't the issue)
  16. The current setup is by no means a gaming rig. I bought as high up as I could a few years ago so that I could run 3D drawing software at home and it handled the task at hand just fine. My eldest slowly got into gaming and it has been able to keep up with only the upgrading of GPU's every two or so years. Probably look at going the same route again. Would only be a few rand more than a console if I shop around. If we switch platforms, it would mean a console purchase as well as a small PC purchase (Seeing as the current one looks like it is FUBAR) I think once you add those two together we are almost into the gaming rig territory... Probably the biggest question is this: What about the Steam/UPlay/Origin accounts? A lot has been invested into games that the kids play online already. What happens when you change platforms? Would changing platforms mean that you now need to go and buy all the games again? Would he be able to still play online with his mates who are on PC's while he is on for example a PS4 or XBox One? We have a PS3 at the moment. Have held off on the PS4. Some questions were asked about the XBox One as well at some stage. Could set up a console in the study connected to the existing PC monitor I suppose. Options....
  17. I am about to get reamed..... My PC has stuck a leg out the bed... Long story short but it was stuck in a boot loop. Sent it in and checked it out and was told all was OK hardware wise but that the Windows boot files were corrupt (virus probably). Backed up data, formatted the drive and did a fresh install only to find out that the GPU looks like it died so we swapped from the dead 760 back to the old 450 and it was working fine. Then it failed to boot into windows... Sounds like it could be motherboard issues I have been pricing parts... At the very least I need a new board, CPU, Graphics card and RAM. HDD's will be reused as well as the PSU for now with the case. Currently running an Intel Gardendale board with an i5 3.0Ghz chipset and 8Gb RAM. It's done well for the past few years so probably reached end of usable life. Any advise in where to start? It is a general household PC that gets used for gaming by the kids. NOT a gaming PC that gets used by mom and dad... What I have noticed is that as soon as you add the word "Gaming" to anything, the price escalates quite considerably!!
  18. I must revisit UKTVNow. They went down a while ago. Must be back up and running again.
  19. Mobdro. You'll pick up live broadcast on ITV4 and sometimes on Eurosport. They generally broadcast a lot of cycle races. Roubaix, Vuelta, Giro, TDF, Tour of Britian etc
  20. Add Mobdro to that list for live TV from UK and USA I use Kodi as a media player only now as well. All my mindless TV is done with Mobdro. RedbullTV for the good stuff and I think I am going to have to start using Youtube a but more.
  21. Gameplan? Not sure I saw one TBH... Kicking away possession, Attacking line was too deep, defense and support were lacking. We looked like we had no idea what to do. Passes were all over the place, movement of the ball was way too slow (Have a look at how quick those Irish moved that ball down the line and how accurate they were) Ross Cronje looked like he was set on slomo, Skhosana was like a deer caught in headlights, Leyds is too small to be playing at that level (Besides, a single backhanded pass does not a springbok make), De Allende... well ja..., I could go on but I'll stop there. IMO what we need is a neutral coach. Nobody that is associated with any provincial team. Somebody that gets paid big bucks to deliver results. Not picked based on colour but rather an astute analyst and strategist of the game or rugby in it's entirety. North to south and east to west. Only problem is that they are all taken by the looks of things...
  22. Thanks man. Much appreciated
  23. Happy to do that! Looks like you, Ken and Meezo are based in the Western Cape. Have a chat to them and let me know where you need them shipped
  24. They are done. Overall height of 86,5mm. Each brass ring is 3mm and that gives you a total of 9mm of adjustment depending on the size of your hands. Base 304SS machined to your specified diameter. These are for: Ken @58,4mm V12 @ 58,5mm Meezo @ 58,4mm cadenceblur @ 58,4mm Priced @ R500 ea plus courier @ R99 I will PM you banking details shortly
  25. Morning. Progress was good this weekend. Spacers and handles are all machined up. Blanks arrived on Friday. Slight change to the original design. The wooden handle is a bit shorter. There are 3off 3mm thick brass rings at the base so that you can fine tune the handle length based to the size of your hand. I have machined the bases for V12 and for Ken. The handles got 3 coats of Danish oil last night. Waiting for that to dry and I will assemble the units. I'll post a pic tomorrow for you to see what the final product looks like as well as some overall dimensions. If you are happy then I will PM you banking details and I can arrange the delivery So far I have the following: Ken @ 58,4mm V12 @ 58,5mm Meezo @ 58,4mm cadenceblur @ 58,4mm Nerd (still to confirm diameter)
