  3. Its all the foreigners / auslanders.... and the dole ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™Š Edit: Also CV19 lockdown
  4. Ja nee, that's life for you....the world tour could really do with more teams that come from places other than the traditional euro teams. I wonder how long it will take before there is another "African" team up there....
  5. The BBC reported the assault yesterday Mark Cavendish: British cyclist assaulted by armed men during burglary at his home - BBC Sport They really chose a bad (imo, snigger) picture of him for the article
  6. I see a triathlon or 2 in your future ๐Ÿ”ฎ ๐Ÿ˜
  7. Fixed
  8. I was going to use the European Xmas weather as an excuse until i read up about the origins of the challenge. I'll give it a go along these lines: "Graeme insists this is one challenge where it is the taking part that really counts: โ€œI always wanted it to be on a social level, to go out as groups and explore new roads and new places. You donโ€™t have to do the 500km. Why donโ€™t you just do five rides? Why donโ€™t you just have the ambition to go out" The #Festive500: A Challenge By Half | Rapha
  9. Touch wood never had it, but from what Iโ€™ve read and heard this is so true. What happened to V12 on the hub,? Miss his inputs
  10. Hehe we also use the naai word for no in swissgerman, and itโ€™s often exclaimed very loudly
  11. Fixed...would need to loose 10 kg's ????
  12. Sad reality, but that's how life works On a happier note, its awesome to read all the folks race stories and results, brings back memories. 2007 94.7 was the last road cycling event I did in SA albeit it undertrained and on a borrowed bike and starting in Cat PP, still managed to keep my all 94.7's under 3 hr's record intact by squeaking in with 2:59:35....definitely would not manage that now...????
  13. No worries, Iโ€™ll just let my imagination fill in the blank spaces ????
  14. Talking of Cavendish and bouncing https://www.google.ch/amp/s/www.cyclingnews.com/amp/news/mark-cavendish-spends-night-in-icu-after-ghent-six-crash/
  15. Thanks for the pictures and trip description, definitely imo the pinnacle of civilian piloting! Are you allowed to say who your employer / company is?
  16. Weโ€™re all rocket men now, aka bike hub premium membership
  17. Try eating / snacking more during your ride, start early and keep on snacking small amounts throughout the whole ride. Good luck ????
  18. Another issue is being the uk, the **** most likely will have a knife on him.... Ja correct, sadly. A measured response with no physical clues (blood) left behind, a klap on the ear hole from behind while he is grinding will disorient the **** and leave no trace... easy to say, which is why this type of petty crime is so popular, people just stand by and watch
  19. For many years Iโ€™ve used cyclingnews.com for international cycling related articles, however for quite a while now it has become very frustrating because the articles donโ€™t load and I often get a message saying โ€œthe page experienced problems and was reloadedโ€ or something along those lines. This only seems to happen when I use my iPad and Iโ€™ve never had this kind of problem with any other website using my iPad. Anyone else experienced this and perhaps know why it happens?
  20. Who stands by and watches (films) the theft..... should have confronted the **** properly, klap on the ear hole followed by a tekkie to the knacks
  21. Lol just love the interweb...... now I see a Facebook post from Gary Player thanking everyone for his 86 birthday wishes and then he gets on his treadmill to run wearing On shoes
  22. Maybe they could be called One time instead of On.... i saw an article on them in Switzerland which mentioned there has been a noticeable increase in running injuries due to people running in On shoes, specifically the โ€œfashion shoe typeโ€ that look like running shoes but are not actually meant for running. When you look at all the other well known running shoe brands, the On philosophy is all on its own, imo for good reason.....BS
  23. Whatโ€™s happening runners, gone very quite this thread has The great Diaspora Discord? Anyone got a review or experience running in โ€œOnโ€ running shoes that they can share? https://www.on-running.com/en-ch/ I'm not convinced, but seem to see a lot of them here ???????? Ive just changed back to ASICS Gel Kayano 28โ€™s, my feet are liking them for their great cushioning!
