  1. Recently upgraded my front rotor from 160mm XT to 180mm XT... Using entry level M486 calipers and it has made a massive difference in stopping power... Highly recommend a rotor upgrade as a cheaper alternative, before completely upgrading...
  2. For a someone new to cycling - this is definitely not acceptable... Same thing happened to me @ Westdene Cycles! Hope CWC sorts it out...
  3. Brand new bike? Weird! Glad they replacing the bike for you!! Good luck with the new 1!
  4. Cool - thanks for the info... And in terms of weight? Are TTs heavier then road?
  5. Hectic! No way of putting the tube back in and carrying on?
  6. Silly question - what are the major differences between a road bike and a TT bike? I see that the frame is very different - but why is this so? why arent all road bikes the same as TT bikes?
  7. Dont think the 9104 is meant to fit the Mk1... Think you need the 968 something or the other... Roof rack - FTW...

  9. View Point on a SS - yoh! Good luck mate! the downhill on the otherside is awesome! Think ill be @ Teak on Saturday morning too!
  10. silly question - what does this delamination look like?
  11. What material are rotors made of?
  12. Ok - let's see what can I can do...
  13. Custom rotors!!! Who shall I send my design too??
  14. What exactly is that?
  15. Used Stans to convert my non-UST rims and tyres (WTB Speedisc and WTB Weirwolf tyres)... Less air leakage than when I ran tubes, no punctures and no issues in around 250kms... Based on this - I dont see a reason to opt for the heavier more expensive UST tyres... I ride Teak, Braamfontein Spruit and a few other single tracks in and around the Northern Suburbs...
  16. Its kick ass! Used to use it @ the gym for weight training... the warning label states that it might cause hightened sense of awareness levels, etc....it does more than that!! Tried it on a few rides - quite unbelievable at how much extra energy I had! How safe is it? Definitely questionable... Heart rate was way higher than my usual peaks...
  17. for not sticking to their own mission statement!!
  18. Silverback for sure! Better components for less the price...
  19. Wow...The Asian Wolf really got you guys into each other eh! I think the main point is - he was driving irresponsibly, captured his moments on camera - and now theres evidence against him... Is it right? - nope... Is this gonna teach every speed a proper lesson? I doubt it... Im sure at some point - we have all been a bit silly in a vehicle and broken the law... Whether or not he is a great experienced track driver/has a capable car/drives with crappy tyres - doesnt make what he did any better or worse... He shattered the speed limit - and now has to pay the price... BTW BMW FTW!! As for the SSS top end run pic....
  20. ROFL!! what a guy - showing off on FB... Wonder if they'll catch him... Lets hope they do - plain ridiculous!
  21. Just confirms that we need to learn to service our own bikes...
  22. Havant tried zombie out yet - will definitely give it a bash this weekend!! I've been about 4 times this month - always loads of fun... Great place to get in tune with the technical side of things... And I can ride there!!
  23. Based on the monthly cost - I would assume that. Sweatsafe makes more sense if you dont have a comprehensive medical aid plan... Ice ID for me - and yeah - it is rather pricey for just an ID tag!
  24. They sure do!!
