  7. Hi all, Apologies for any errors received. We seem to be maxing out Strava's request limits for 3rd party applications. They only allow 600 requests per 15 minute interval which we've been maxing out with the response. We've made a few changes to lower the frequency of requests sent to Strava which should ease the congestion. For the time being we've also disabled the manual "Update my profile" and "Update my activities" buttons. Your activities and any profile changes will be synced to the app periodically. If you've had issues syncing activities it should now be displaying them, but please let me know if you still have any issues. Matt
  8. The fourth and final day of the 2015 Isuzu Trucks PE Plett mountain bike race took us on a 90km trip from Tsitsikamma Falls to Plettenberg Bay. Once again the flooding meant we were required to take a few detours, substituting dirt for tar. Even with the changes today’s route was pretty spectacular in the scenery department. 9. Day 3 of the Isuzu Trucks PE Plett took us on a 69km route from Soloko Game Reserve to Tsitsikamma Falls. Again the recent flooding had an impact on our route, although this time the organisers had no option but to skip the too muddy parts of the course through the Tsitsikamma forest. This was to be the first year the event would enter the forest and would have been a real treat for us forest-lacking Cape Tonions. Click here to view the article
  10. Today was the longest stage of the 2015 Isuzu Trucks PE Plett covering 97km from Gamtoos to the Soloko Game Reserve. After yesterdays mud fest we were warned to expect more of the sticky stuff. In the words of Mike Glover of Red Cherry Adventures "There's no other way to say it, but that you'll have about 5km of sh**." Click here to view the article
  11. Earlier this year Isuzu Trucks invited BikeHub to take part in the Isuzu PE Plett MTB race. Some will remember the competition we ran giving away 3 team entries to the event. Naturally, were keen to head up the coast and check it out for ourselves. Click here to view the article
  12. Hi Squier, Could you pop me a pm or email with a screenshot of the block or error message? Obviously if it's an internal IT policy there's little that can be done, but we have had other reports from users behind Cisco security systems. One of Ciscos global systems had flagged the new domain as suspicious. We've resolved this with them which seems to have corrected the issue for those affected.
  13. It should be sorted now.
  14. Eleven years ago in August 2004 The Hub was born. Then just a rudimentary, glaringly yellow message board populated by little more than a handful of users. We’ve certainly come a long way. From those humble beginnings as a small side project to the largest cycling website in South Africa and among the top 15 cycling sites worldwide. Click here to view the article
  15. Last week we popped up to Johannesburg for the 2016 Two Wheels Trading product launch. We've already had a look at the new Momsen VIPA XT and Team models, plus the upcoming Momsen VIPA Trail. Here's a collection of the highlights from some of their other brands. Click here to view the article
  16. Correction: The fork pictured here is a stock standard Rockshox Pike, not the Boost version. That has a 100mm x 15mm wide lower assembly. The bikes will come with the new BOOST version of any fork they spec. That gives 110mm x 15mm wide lowers – this means a totally different lower leg assembly and ample clearance.
  17. The pics do exaggerate the tightness a bit - particularly that shot of the fork. In reality there is a bit more clearance, but yes with a bit of a wobble there could be contact and some issues.
  18. At their recent dealer launch event, we spotted the latest iteration of the Momsen VIPA Trail. Scheduled for launch in the second quarter of 2016, the Trail version will provide a longer travel option to the VIPA lineup with a "mild" and a "wild" build option. Click here to view the article
  19. The article has been updated with indicative pricing: https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/gear/gear-news/launch-2016-momsen-vipa-team-xt-and-new-dual-bottle-cage-adaptor-r3294 Both prices are dependant on exchange rates, but these should give you an idea. 2016 Momsen VIPA XT Price: Similar to 2015 prices (The 2015 VIPA XT launched at R 55,000.00 incl. VAT) Availability: Now - already available via authorised dealers. See all the Authorised Momsen dealers on their site. 2016 Momsen VIPA Team Price: Approx. R 75,000.00 incl. VAT Availability: November 2015 via authorised dealers.
  20. In case you didn't see the full article here are more pics of the team: https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/gear/gear-news/launch-2016-momsen-vipa-team-xt-and-new-dual-bottle-cage-adaptor-r3294 We're awaiting pricing on both models and will update here as soon as that is available.
  21. On Wednesday night Two Wheels Trading launched their 2016 product range at a dealer event in Johannesburg. The all-new Momsen VIPA Team issue and XT were among the items on display. Although we've already taken a first look at the Vipa XT on screen, we hadn't yet seen it in the flesh, nor had we seen the new colour way for the Team issue spec. Click here to view the article
  22. Share your training moments this August and you could win one of ten online training programmes from Today's Plan. Click here to view the article
  23. I think that's just a bit of dirt and reflection, the roller is in perfect shape. The semi-slick contact surface is no different from a road tyre.
