  1. Sorry, those are the Catlike helmets, not Cratoni .... This is the local yocal for Cratoni though, knew I'd seen the ad in Tread... http://www.thebicyclecompany.co.za/cratoni/
  2. Oh ya? Are you referring to the 29r feature a year or more back? ... There's also recognition from the same folk on the progress made by 29r in handling. Wasn't a comparison to 29rs, just an illustration that the 120mm 29r trail bike is a reality. I still say each to their own though, on whatever keeps them happy/comfortable/confident
  3. Hahaha .... you never heard from me... cough...
  4. W squared cycling in KZN I think, same people who do the BMC and Ellesworth steeds...
  5. Completely untrue these days!

  7. Been very happy with Epic Pro, taste is quite neutral I reckon. Mind you, I don't mix it at full strength either. Overall though I've found that and the USN Vitargo to be pretty darn good. works for hangovers too ..... apparently
  8. Maybe pull Giant and Merida out of that equation. They manufacture frames for most of the big boys, who also happen to pull out catalogue models. So essentially not all that different to so called "private owned brands" .... doh
  9. Oh my, that's a bit of alright, innit!
  10. Notice how terse Bellairs got when pressed for more details by Andrew.
  11. Thinking about this after another post I made elsewhere, hand signals. Obviously there'll exceptions, but use them, you'll find traffic a lot more accommodating on the whole if they realise where you want to go when changing direction.
  12. Sent you a PM with some contact details. Best of luck.
  13. So that would apply to most then.
  14. If traffic is at a standstill, why not? Same with motorbikes travelling between lanes/traffic. As long as it's not at a reckless speed, it's allowed. Besides we're also supposed to leave a certain distance around our cars. Finally .... Saffers love to hysterically play into stereotypes though, before looking to the individual within.
  15. Quite like the black one... I've got the orange colour, I like it. Extremely comfortable and adjustable, even on long rides. It fits, ehrm, like a glove.
  16. Anyway, more importantly. Any scratches on the Ritchey!!!
  17. No 'leaning' Dischem owns practically half of Biogen.
  18. Yes boytjie .... That one.
  19. You would mean your brother then ...
  20. Maybe also http://www.axis-bikes.com/bikes/road .... seem to have some good pricing for the spec!
  21. He's employed by First Ascent, quite the accomplished mountaineer and outdoorsman as well. Heads much of the cycling range etc ... top bloke.
  22. Kobe jou bliksem ....
  23. Chip on your shoulder big enough Steve
  24. It's as if only Weeclarky and Eldron can see the woods for the trees here. A lot more mutual respect for one another from all sides would go a long way. Many of those 'first world' countries have narrow country roads with far fewer problems, why, because of the above. Our road conditions aren't the problem, the road users are.
