  1. Thats nonsense - A problem out the box ? I would take it back and demand they replace it with a stock unit - If they have no stock then demand your money back. Its BS that the shop sells you a defective product and then tells you to wait for the manufacturer to react, irrespective of the current situation
  2. Eisch ! met daaie JD jy het geen CLAAS nie
  3. Those pics clearly indicate tension failure, which will only occur if the max tensile strength of the chain is exceeded. But - there is no way in a million years that a rider would be able to achieve that by pedaling, no matter how strong their legs are. Tensile strengths on chains can vary from 1200 to 1500 kg depending on the design That kind for damage and the qty of links that failed is clearly a material problem.
  4. Correct - In fact their boxes should also say - "If you not prepared to do a min of 3 warranty replacements then don't buy this trainer"
  5. Here are some pictures On the Wahoo freehub these gears will fit as they only need to engage on 4 pawls these gears won't fit as they need to engage on 8 pawls
  6. The Campy freehub from Wahoo is not a silver bullet, it only works on the higher end Campy cassettes like RECORD & CHORUS which have certain gears riveted together an engage on the freehub with 4 lugs engaging, as soon as you get the lower end cassettes (all gears are separate with 8 lugs) then these won't fit' Wahoo tried to do the impossible by designing a freehub hybrid that would take Shitmano & Campy Cassette - If they had done their homework they would have found out that many have tried this and failed. I don't know why they don't just offer a proper Campy freehub - But then again Wahoo tend to sell stuff that is mostly problematic and get away with it with their customers I run 9 spd Campy on my trainer - So i took a 9 spd Shitmano cassette and removed the rivets to seperate the gears - replaced the spacers with some 9 spd Campy spacers and it works fine. What you can also try is a SRAM 12 spd MTB chain on an 11 spd Shitmano cassette - I'm told it runs a lot quieter.
  7. Ahah - thanks for that - At least I now know what i did that changed it. I actually thought the form was a % and the change was to reflect fitness line as a % not the form line I prefer the absolute number to make sure i stay in the Optimum zone (20 to -30) for me above 20 i'm undertraining and below -30 i'm overtraining
  8. Hi David What happened to my fitness graph - all of a sudden my form line goes deep into the RED - last week it was hovering in the green
  9. Me too - or maybe the C40 and then just for a laugh the CT1 and then just because i can the DREAM
  10. I wonder if this deal will go viral
  11. I have the Core 3 - with the latest firmware update you no longer need a separate Cad sensor - In fact it reflects Cad on my garmin 520 as well as Power.
  12. It also depends what the payment terms are with the supplier - some importers might have a 60 - 90 credit line so when they order and the dollar is at 14:1 but when they pay its at 20:1.
  13. Milking cream from Dischem - find it in the baby section, yellow tub with a cow on it
  14. Hi Shaun Thanx for making Modders great again
  15. I think changing direction perhaps once a year is a good thing - It keeps things interesting and stops the same old trails getting monotonous. Personally i think they should nuke the trails with weed and grass killer maybe a meter on each side this would reduce the amount of trail maintenance and they could focus on trail building. But then i suppose the greenies will step in and start a riot
  16. I own 5 Colnagos and out of them my oldest (DREAM) is still the lightest even lighter than my C59
  17. I see the latest Fullsuss newspaper page 14 advertises trails in Gauteng indicates that entrance to modders is free - Might be a typo though
  18. Considering the mountains they pulled their Ox Wagons over, i'm sure they smoked a lot of it as well
  19. I been running GX Eagle 1 X 12 for nearly 2 years now. Installed it myself, never had a moments trouble with it, changes like butter. Its all in the installation and setup - follow the instructions to the letter and you wont have issues, also make sure your chain length is done correctly. If you ever remove the jockey wheels, make sure they go back exactly as they came off.
  20. When buying these bikes size is important - No point in having a COLNAGO hanging on your wall to look at - they need to be ridden
  21. Not much info available on the ALTAIN think they were from the mid 90's made for European market so you won't find many here in SA. Oversized Altain tubing would make it a stiff frame. Traditional COLNAGO geometry. Also doesn't seem to have a pedigree of champions or wins like the C40 all of which contribute to its collectability, so not a frame i would consider for my collection. If its just a steel COLNAGO you want to own, it would depend on price, is it all original (Head tube lugs, rear chainstay and Precisa fork should all be chrome), what color scheme is it, condition ?
  22. Pics of the bikes would be nice to give some constructive comments. CT1's are very collectible, we have 2 in our collection CT1 LUX Titanio B - Stay CT1 - first ones that came onto the market So we have a few rules before we add to the collection Paint must be in original condition - No resprays - maybe a few touch ups is okay Groupset must be Campy and date specific to the bike - Anything else and we only value the frame. Size must be our size because we ride them. Other components need to be date specific as well. Bike must be well looked after On CT1's you need to check the bonding between the carbon stays and the Tit frame for cracks or indication that its coming loose - It can be repaired but is expensive and needs to be considered in the purchase price. We wouldn't sell for below 25K if we were to decide to sell. So if its in perfect condition 20 - 25K We also have a few steel frames but nothing really collectible - In my opinion real collectible steel COLNAGOS would really only be in the MASTER range or Arabesque. Be carefull out there - many people have old COLNAGO's hanging in their garages and think they worth 1000's because its a COLNAGO - you need to research them individually to find their true value.
  23. BRB = 45km BMX track - lots of fun
  24. Ye i agree with you - the movie was made pro vegan so i suppose in the same context a pro meat movie would counteract what they say. They did say however that both Vegan and meat eaters should be supplementing B12 as its the one thing that is removed as a result of all the pesticides used in crop farming. I found it more interesting from the blood perspective though - If the blood is cleaned and cardio system repaired as quickly as they say it does then maybe not a bad idea to go vegan for a few days or weeks at a time. Since my post i spoke with a guy who went vegan but still indulges the odd steak - He tells me that when he eats meat he can now feel the physical effects, its like when you cut down alcohol and then suddenly you go out on a p@#$%up the barbie feels a 100 times worse. So i suppose the analogy that there is nothing bad with our indulgences as long as they done in moderation is correct.
  25. I disagree, the first year i got to Gold was actually the first time i really analysed what needed to be done to get there. In those days i had the wife and 2 kids on my Med aid so the requirement was 120 000 pts. It seemed almost impossible but when i went into the nuts and bolts we got there fairly easily as long as everyone in the family played their part which i ensured they did. In those days a % of your pts were also carried over to the next year (25% I think) so the following 2 years was even easier. Of course it seemed unfair to have to start over if you missed it in year 2 or 3 but staying on gold was certainly achievable. Then they removed the carry over points After that they stopped giving points for having additional financial products with Disco Over the years they have reduced points further and further for the different tests you needed doing Various activity points reduced like when we used to claim for cycle events and got the bonus for the 5th event. Prostrate PSA test - its gone i think or only for over 60 Glaucoma screening - now only if you over 60 Fitness test used to be 15000 now its 7500 Updating personal details online - gone HIV tests for 2020 is drastically reduced Online diet survey - Now you have to visit and pay a dietitian if you want your points. Online mental health survey will no doubt change soon and we will have to visit a shrink to get the points So they have reduced or changed the rewards but keep pushing up the threshold level. Now you don't have to be on gold for 3 years but you will need to get 100 000 pts to stay on Diamond. Sorry but where does that put us poor f#$%^&*ers that have been on Gold and Diamond for the last 10 years. The system is pushing more and more members to cheat simply to stay in the game almost like doping - How many members flip the turnstyles have a coffee at the gym and then leave without even using the changerooms to get points. How many members are out there running or on their bikes using 2 HR monitors. I think you see where i'm going on this.
