  1. Borrowed off FB - apparently taken on Kaarkloof trails
  2. I had this problem - my house is FB with 3 hole bricks, i hung a new gate which needed 12mm rawlbolts which i initially used - eventually the bricks cracked and the electric gate pulled the brackets off the wall. I had to surgically break out the broken bricks and replace with new ones - I used the Fisher plastic cages and their glue to insert threaded rod, remounted the brackets. Its incredible how strong that glue is and the only way to mount things on cavity bricks - its expensive but really works well
  3. Name them - I'll give it a bash 1 - Oval Master Titanium 2 - C40 gold limited edition 3 - C40 MK I - I think 4 - CT2 Titainio 5 - Master Olympic 6 - Dunno ! but looks like a steel frame
  4. I disagree - Bike parts are duty free irrespective of the value according to shippers that i've used
  5. Its not the exchange rate - I worked out 9K at Euro ROE of 18.5 in fact i can get Euro today on Shyft for 17.9 so it would cost me about 8.7K I think the difference is locally there are more companies in the margin chain - OEM -> Importer -> LBS which adds over 30% to the price. Most online shops in Europe are supplied direct from the OEM. I work for a German company with a local importer and we dictate how much the local importer can markup, its now where near the numbers that bike parts are marked up.
  6. I will wait for my next Business trip to Germany - 9K for the same kit
  7. Now these are cool - I actually had a silver set off my dream, but i binned them some years back - can't believe i did that !
  8. Nice build - That was my thought - these carbon cages are cool but may look a bit too modern on the C40 On the other hand the gruppo I'm mounting is 11spd CHORUS Ultratorque with a set of older ZIPP 404 wheels.
  9. So I'm busy with a C40 World Champion limited edition build - looking for recommendations on which Bottle cages to use and where can i get them
  10. C40 HP finally finished and added to the collection
  11. I had the same issue on my TREK Top Fuel. Removed the headset bearings and coated the seats in the frame with carbon assembly past - The inserts in the frame are carbon. I then removed the bars and use some past on the stem where it clamps to the bar. Used a torque wrench to re-assemble Sorted.
  12. I stand to be corrected here - But they way i read it, is that your full spend will donated twoards the 200K not just a %
  13. Finally !!!!! COLNAGO available in ZWIFT Store 650 000 drops - Shutup and take my money
  14. The contact no. of a seller is not visible unless you click on the phone number box - they should make it more visible and have an indicator of the method which the seller wants to be contacted. I also had major problems with bikehub messages not indicating i had un read messages - Only once i logged out and back in as well as clearing my cookies did all the messages appear - by then all the stuff was sold on FB marketplace. In all my ads i told potential buyers to message me via whatsapp or sms - seems like some people don't read the adds properly In my opinion BH "Buy & Sell" platform has got to be the worst i've used - I list on both FB groups or marketplace and BH and almost everything i sold has been on FB
  15. Hi David When a person uses Intervals for the first time - The fitness line on the graph basically starts from zero - is there an input somewhere that starts the graph off at a higher level, because surely even an untrained persons fitness cannot be zero. Or should the fitness graph rather be read as "improvement in fitness" since the start ?
  16. Now that we've calculated your cadence - If you let us know what you and your bike weigh we can calculate how many G's you pull through those berms
  17. I would run Deep Groove bearings without a problem. In my opinion bearings in bicycle applications are operating no where near their design limitations. When designing a bearing application, 2 of the most important factors to consider (besides size of course) is the static and dynamic load capability, these are specified on the bearing data sheet and on lots of these small bearings, loads are above 500kg and no where near what they will experience on a bicycle. the other is max design speed like the load these bearings can handle 12000 rpm in grease and higher in oil - once again no where near the speeds experienced on a bicycle. Angular contact would be better to cater for loads experienced off the vertical when cornering, but once again, considering the design parameters and the application a deep groove will never fail. 99.9% of bearing failures are due to - Lack of lubrication - ingress of moisture (main reason) - ingress of dirt - operating beyond their design limits (very uncommon) Service your bearings 4 x year - clean - repack with grease and you will never have to replace them.
  18. Ye I remember my son telling me he needed new bearings for his skateboard - shop wanted 30 ronds each because they were "Black Fly" bearings - went to the bearing shop and got SKF for 2.30 ronds - He refused to use the skateboard after that
  19. I just had a WTF! moment
  20. I would challenge them - Are you sure the broker did a good job or spoke to the right people. I would phone them direct myself - clearly if you have a health check in 2020 they need to reallocate those points for 2020 - I had a similar issue a few years back, I emailed them the results which had the date on and they reallocated the points no problem, in fact there were also activity points that weren't reflecting - once i sent them proof and which dates they were they also allocated those points. Something doesn't sound right with your dilemma - with Vitality they are very black and white, it's either correct or incorrect - I lost my gym membership because i missed 1 visit in 12 month cycle - when i phoned them to reconsider it was no - nope - defiantly nope - you broke the rules and have to rejoin with the admin fee, end of story.
  21. I agree, it seems tolerance has prevailed. I been known to bash a few vegans, not because they don't eat meat, but because they blame the worlds problems on meat eaters. Over the last 2 years we been trying out a lot of plant based diets - in fact going up to 4 months on only plant based foods - it was a great experience, some of the recipes were great and others were just putrid. One thing i can say, its actually very expensive to eat healthy and you need to know or learn how to cook and prepare plant based meals. I also noted that many restaurants are including more and more vegan or plant based food on menu's which makes it easier to eat out. Today we kind of moved back to meat, but eat a lot less especially red meat, we on more fish and chicken with a lot more pasta. The biggest thing i learnt was the digestive system was a lot happier on plant based foods. My first steak after 4 months it felt like my gut was going to explode

  23. Vale roadies are actually cool okes - they always willing to help
  24. clamp a bolt in the vice and set it to 5 or 6 Nm - at 2 you will hardly feel the click
  25. I think the video is pretty cool - Well done - I've done a few of my own as well but wouldn't dare to post them here on Le Hub - I think they are masterpieces of videography especially considering my lack of ability in this field - But some opinionated KARENS on here might think differently - One needs to ignore them and scroll past, Oh! and drinking beer as a MTBer is considered cool, I remember a MTB race i did where the water points only served shooters and you got a beer instead of a medal at the finish. Keep riding - Keep filming - drink beer - be cool & ignore the boxes on the way
