  1. ...or, just change the lesson to - how to ride in the mud like a boss!
  2. 13th Dec would be good for me, will see if I can wrangle up some interest.
  3. Peach. I would be interested in a more intermediate / advanced skills clinic that would cover stuff like; Improving jumping skills (control in the air, whips, scrubbing etc.) possibly more advanced cornering skills, line selection, how to smash a rock garden Kinda like a clinic for guys who are pretty competent, but want to take it to the next level. Could use PWC and Thaba DH track for venues.
  4. KS is fully servicable, even though they say its not "user" serviceable, it actually is. I did a full service on mine the other day - new oil etc.. and it was pretty easy - its just a pain in the a$$ trying to pump it up with a modified soccer ball inflator. My post was smooth as silk again afterwards. Although having said that, I will go reverb when I'm up for replacement, they just seem like they don't need as much love as the KS.
  5. Awesome!
  6. I would wager that peaches can ride better than anyone posting on this thread. So no assumptions on his part...
  7. Just do this. Don't waste your time trying to argue your point with the resident hub trolls.
  8. You seem quite sure about this. Care to share your source?
  9. I have to disagree, I think it must be a mistake on Chris King's site... the Lawman is never wrong... ever!
  10. pinkbike seem to think there is some value in repacking your bearings.... http://www.pinkbike.com/news/Tech-Tuesday-Service-and-Re-Grease-a-Cartridge-Bearing-Headset.html
  11. You're wasting your time...
  12. Can you explain why you say so? If you are following the HFLC diet, isn't the theory behind it to metabolize fat for energy instead of carbs? If so, then there is plenty nutrition in BP coffee. It contains both grassfed butter and MCT oil, both of which should provide good nutrition for someone following this diet. Plus caffeine as a drug has numerous beneficial properties. Even if you are not following HFLC, fat is still a source of nutrition. And for a bit of info for the OP: first prize would be, Unsalted, grass fed butter, a decent wet process coffee, and MCT oil (can substitute with coconut oil, but MCT is better)
  13. Dave Marshall - spoke and spanner. Built one wheelset for me previously and is going to be building my new DJ wheelset too.
  14. Exactly! Any time you want to complain how bad thehub classifieds is - go place an ad on gumtree or olx... or, or, or... Makes thehub a pleasure to sell stuff on
  15. Agreed! And correct me if I'm wrong, but one of the points you're making is that packing new bearings with extra grease can help prolong life, as from the factory they have almost no grease in them. I wouldn't personally bother repacking used bearings, but it could add value with new ones.
  16. If your sale experience with them was a good one, just give them a positive rating. You can find people you rated on your profile info later on.
  17. What V12Man said! If you're going to do your own wheel bearings, its best to have the proper press (or a decent DIY tool), knocking them in with a mallet etc. is a sure way to get them in skew or damage the bearing.
  18. Auction it off in the classifieds - only open to people with a post count over 1000 though!
  19. I could be talking out the wrong hole here... but, I think you can put a spacer in the KS posts to reduce the travel from 125mm to 100mm. Google perhaps?
  20. Best bet would be to go for a 100mm drop post with a 350mm length.
  21. Looks like skiffy is now essentra...
  22. Thanks for the tip. I've also always used syringes, but had the same issues with the plunger swelling.
  23. IMHO, reading the other thread, you jumped on your horse too quickly there.... Noobs will always be an easy target, so chill out, keep posting and dont take things too personally. You will be fine..... really.
  24. I've had mine for over a year now, great pedals, but they did squeak from the beginning and developed play after a few months of use
