  1. Auction it off in the classifieds - only open to people with a post count over 1000 though!
  2. I could be talking out the wrong hole here... but, I think you can put a spacer in the KS posts to reduce the travel from 125mm to 100mm. Google perhaps?
  3. Best bet would be to go for a 100mm drop post with a 350mm length.
  4. Looks like skiffy is now essentra...
  5. Thanks for the tip. I've also always used syringes, but had the same issues with the plunger swelling.
  6. IMHO, reading the other thread, you jumped on your horse too quickly there.... Noobs will always be an easy target, so chill out, keep posting and dont take things too personally. You will be fine..... really.
  7. I've had mine for over a year now, great pedals, but they did squeak from the beginning and developed play after a few months of use
  8. I saw this ad this morning too. Thought it sounded fishy, and clicked through anyway. Confirmed my suspicions and closed ad. Saw my high horse standing in the corner of the room.... considered mounting it... Had coffee instead.. forgot about ad.
  9. Was that when your race was cut short by one of your signature head plants?
  10. I now have ROMO (Realization of missing out)
  11. Cool, keep us updated with progress pics.
  12. Good Point!
  13. Why only 4 bikes? You have a whole trailer, why not make it a 6 bike? I have a motorbike trailer I have been thinking of converting too, so will be interesting to see how yours works out.
  14. Haha! you must spend ages going through all 1000 posts before transacting with someone new.. But as you stated - it is your prerogative. I guess we all have our own criteria for deciding who we will, or will not deal with, so whatever works for you..
  15. I welcome a bargain from anyone, doesn't matter weather they post or not. That's why its called the classified section and not part of the forum. There are some really good sellers in the classifieds that never post on the forum.
  16. It would depend more on the overall geometry of the bike, and how you prefer your setup, as opposed to looking purely at wheel size. Riser bars would give you a more upright position and shift your weight back slightly, whereas flat bars would lower your riding position and shift weight more to the front wheel. You can fiddle further with bar height by flipping your stem, if it is an angled stem. It boils down to personal preference at the end of the day.
  17. That doesn't make sense to me. Surely, even if you adjust the HA with an angle set, it will still affect the BB height, and other angles in a similar way that offset bushings would?
  18. I assume by lowering the rear of the bike by offsetting the mountings - this would slacken the HA. Will lower the BB height too I would imagine.
  19. Methamphetamine works pretty well...
  20. Ok. Then you have something else to google: Is my Alan Record frame heat treated It is also important to find out what alloy its made from, as the welding rod should also match the alloy you are welding.
  21. Please google welding heat treated aluminum and also what a HAZ is. Welding heat treated Ali without re tempering it will not work.
  22. That clown was right The NN is a more aggressive tyre than the RR so swapping them around would give you less rolling resistance at the rear, and more grip on the front..
  23. Yup!
  24. I like to pump my Sub-Hoover whilst doing Squads
  25. i'm with Noli on this one. It might be good, but its still UGLY! ...And I dont think I am fast enough to take advantage of all that unsightly tech, so I would rather have a bike that can ride fast (enough), and also enjoy a trouser murmur in the garage whilst admiring its beauty..
