  1. I saw this ad this morning too. Thought it sounded fishy, and clicked through anyway. Confirmed my suspicions and closed ad. Saw my high horse standing in the corner of the room.... considered mounting it... Had coffee instead.. forgot about ad.
  2. Was that when your race was cut short by one of your signature head plants?
  3. I now have ROMO (Realization of missing out)
  4. Cool, keep us updated with progress pics.
  5. Good Point!
  6. Why only 4 bikes? You have a whole trailer, why not make it a 6 bike? I have a motorbike trailer I have been thinking of converting too, so will be interesting to see how yours works out.
  7. Haha! you must spend ages going through all 1000 posts before transacting with someone new.. But as you stated - it is your prerogative. I guess we all have our own criteria for deciding who we will, or will not deal with, so whatever works for you..
  8. I welcome a bargain from anyone, doesn't matter weather they post or not. That's why its called the classified section and not part of the forum. There are some really good sellers in the classifieds that never post on the forum.
  9. It would depend more on the overall geometry of the bike, and how you prefer your setup, as opposed to looking purely at wheel size. Riser bars would give you a more upright position and shift your weight back slightly, whereas flat bars would lower your riding position and shift weight more to the front wheel. You can fiddle further with bar height by flipping your stem, if it is an angled stem. It boils down to personal preference at the end of the day.
  10. That doesn't make sense to me. Surely, even if you adjust the HA with an angle set, it will still affect the BB height, and other angles in a similar way that offset bushings would?
  11. I assume by lowering the rear of the bike by offsetting the mountings - this would slacken the HA. Will lower the BB height too I would imagine.
  12. Methamphetamine works pretty well...
  13. Ok. Then you have something else to google: Is my Alan Record frame heat treated It is also important to find out what alloy its made from, as the welding rod should also match the alloy you are welding.
  14. Please google welding heat treated aluminum and also what a HAZ is. Welding heat treated Ali without re tempering it will not work.
  15. That clown was right The NN is a more aggressive tyre than the RR so swapping them around would give you less rolling resistance at the rear, and more grip on the front..
  16. Yup!
  17. I like to pump my Sub-Hoover whilst doing Squads
  18. i'm with Noli on this one. It might be good, but its still UGLY! ...And I dont think I am fast enough to take advantage of all that unsightly tech, so I would rather have a bike that can ride fast (enough), and also enjoy a trouser murmur in the garage whilst admiring its beauty..
  19. What he said, been running an HD trailstar for a while now, grip is great. Better than the MK any day.
  20. I think you've found your problem....
  21. Yes... But what they don't tell you is that where the shuttle drops you off for the stage starts, there is still a nice uphill trek to get the heart rate up. Also, you are giving it your all the whole way down - no nice long jeep tracks to catch your breath, so you K*k baksteene if you are not fit. Running will def help, and its still a blast even if you're unfit.
  22. Did my first one last lear, was awesome! Don't think I'm doing this years one though, which is a good thing, because I'm not nearly fit enough.
  23. Sweet! you'll be shredding the DH courses, and bunny hopping PnP trolleys in no time!!! ... and don't worry, 510's come in a 9.5
  24. Do you ride with baggies and 510's? If not, that could be your problem...
  25. Biggest factor is budget. If you have money to replace the tyre and not go hungry for the rest of the month, then replace. If replacing means having to send your wife and first born to the nearest intersection for a spot of begging, then do what the others suggest and fix it. If you fix it, it might be wise to keep it on the rear, that way, if it does fail, it will be far easier to stay on your bike.
