  1. It's because organisers are lazy and greedy. Much easier to stick 1000 sheeple into a holding pen and then blast them off for 40 odd kays with a bit of bunting and signage here and there. XCO takes a lot more organisation and it's much more difficult to draw larger numbers of riders hence more difficult to make money.
  2. I reckon kids should wear helmets climbing jungle gyms.

  4. Where can one find one of these? What's the difference between a micro and a mini as in what age are they suitable for?
  5. My 19 month old is on his Strider already.
  6. Good bunch of guys.
  7. No 2 currently with slicks, a basket and a baby carrier. Oh and it still has the rigid up front with Vees as I bought it.
  8. Have you looked at the contraband?
  9. We stayed at the oxwagons a couple years back and our host was telling us about trails they had cut and were busy cutting. Oxwagons.co.za I think.
  10. Thumbs up for the trail. Race weekend is a blast. Can get congested but great nonetheless.
  11. Very sorry to hear. My deepest condolences Anton, to you and your family.
  12. Measure your Avid hoses and potentially save yourself a trim and bleed.
  13. Fans worldwide are ruthless. Unfortunately they took the entertainment out of the match. These are highly paid professionals whose salaries are paid by the likes of you and me. The players retire and many become pundits who have a platform and are even more ruthless than the average fan. But yes, it's still just sport.
  14. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nothing to do with sport.
  15. Stayed in Pumula a couple months back and they ride inland into the cane fields. We couldn't hook up on their organised rides but just did our own thing. Lots of cool district roads and turn off into cane fields for some more technical riding. Good fun.
  16. Took my wife and kids to watch the last session and support our team. Wanderers pretty empty but no parking anywhere that was accessible. Loads of parking on fields but you cant drive there. Cant say I'll be going back in a hurry. Great atmosphere once inside though.
  17. Your saddle might not be firm enough.
  18. Got myself one too. Makes a great cup of coffee. Will give the auto cappucino a go today although we dont drink them.
  19. JMBC normally organise an Emmarentia to Harties ride around New Year. Not a race but a tough enjoyable ride nonetheless.
  20. Shafton Grange. Across the road from the polo club. Roll out of bed and onto the trails.
  21. Yellow Saddle would have been great to expand this concept. There were many pepple, including myself, who used Johans's facilities.
  22. Have used Times for 15 years. Very, very happy with them. Tried Look Carbon briefly but found the shims needed to setup a pita.
  23. Also easier to get people cycle commuting when it's pretty flat and no hills.
  24. They even sell ozonated water.
