  1. Amazing man. He has given me some pointers re cancer advice. I have some interesting observations going lchf (probably more paleo) which I will share when I'm not browsing on a phone.

    Rugby...

So will Victor seriously return for Super Rugby? Has mountain biking toughened him up?
  3. I was very sad that Shimano dropped dual control for mtb. Would have loved a current xtr dual control.
  4. I reckon a single shifter is more appropriate for beginners. A front derailleur takes some skill and practice to get right. Unfortunately the gearing options on 1x are not as beginner friendly as a 2/3x. I would live the simplicity of one shifter but cant justify the expense for no real benefit at this stage. Run my 3x9 which performs really well.
  5. We probably rubbed shoulders back then. Small world.
  6. Are you able to pull the plate with the writing out. Looks like it wedges the rail clamps as you tighten it?
  7. What he says. Ambit was not ANT+ compatible on release. Check your Ambit firmware.
  8. Phone Luxotica and they'll post.
  9. Very disappointed to be missing this.
  10. I still dont get how the majority of cyclists on the road do not make every effort to be as visible as possible. Lights, reflective vests and generally bright clothing. If a motorbike needs lights to be roadworthy why not a bicycle. Cyclists are fighting for respect and rights on the road, should they not be held to the same requirements as other road vehicles?
  11. What is the motive? Hijackings, theft or just violence?
  12. Does the GL come in 9 sp? Are you using a 10sp on a 9 sp cluster?
  13. Yes, I remember John. I got shipped to Cullen Bowles post Walker shutdown.
  14. Who was your mate? I had a white Topanga, Walker 91.
  15. Was looking for a Moondust L last year and they, Coolheat, only had a Kermit L. Timing.
  16. Could you get permission for a BobCat or SkidSteer. Would help placing rocks. Wonderful little machines.
  17. Sorry, misunderstood then. Thought he had insurance since claiming excess was mentioned.
  18. Your insurance, case no., driver's details, owner's details that's what you pay insurance for. You shouldn't be doing the legwork.
  19. Use your iPhone. Enable tagging and upload into iPhoto os such. You really need to make it easier to use. Use Photosynth app to stitch panoramics. Could even do video if you really needed. I do this in a construction audit environment.
  20. Very fortunate that I let my entry go. It was a big ask to try ride in good conditions. In that heat I'd have literally died. Unfortunately for first timers it is difficult to benchmark the effort required to ride a stage race. Same goes for logistics and race strategy ie pace, food, water, tools, spares, partner etc. Although having one or two under the belt makes it easier to judge. As long as the organiser has done his best to look after the race and you you'll be ok. I recall a Sabie Exp a few years back where they aborted the stage. That was a cock up but safety was a priority. We spoke to some farmers and made a call to bail before the start, fortunate. That most of the posts are positive points toward a great even. Look forward to riding next year.
  21. Popped up to the Parkhurst Fair. Strider has a little track with Balance Bikes. They do skills courses for kids starting round 2.
  22. Stage IV mets to the lungs. Back on chemo. Fighting hard.
