  1. I have had numerous people try and sell me this crap as an alternative to my chemo. As above, I think ozone is toxic and wont touch it. Their theory is that cancer cannot survive in an oxygenated environment and ozone is the best way to introduce oxygen into the body. EPO is far more effective.
  2. He should just cross out the x and call himself Cafe Roubaiz. I know of a large cycling company that misspell their name, in real English at least.
  3. So I was about to pull the trigger on a Jura Impressa F7 and got talking to a mate who has bought a De Longhi 4500 for his office. What would the actual coffee making differences of these 2 machines be? Jura is R11500 whilst De Longhi is R6500. Jura looks fancier, yes, but is there a big difference under the hood?
  4. Mine fortunately sticks out far enough that the clamp fits but you need to be careful of the hose. I do however clamp my frame there and never had a problem. What damage have you seen?
  5. That's the problem with dropper posts.
  6. PVRed Crazy Ones and caught up last night. Holy crap! What a useless series. Cant believe I wasted the half hour.
  7. All Out Adventures in KZN uses a plastic/paper band off differing colour which I think is a nice alternative to boards. Those that you get at clubs or festivals .Swampdogs uses an sms system to notify members of rides and news. If you have a board with costs and info at access points I'm sure you'll get people joining, subscribing and supporting. Rogue riders will remain a problem but if you can communicate with members you have more riders to try and flush them out or rope them in.
  8. There is a green one in my cupboard as a Xmas pressie for my 17 month son.
  9. You are in a better position now as hopefully you have valuable work experience and can find meaningful employment. Check the Oz government sites for careers in demand.
  10. http://www.x-streambalance.co.za/brands/strider.html My daughter's skills and confidence tripled on this bike. They had a local demo day and built a mini bmx track.
  11. Specialized make a really nice one but like all things Spez they are not cheap.
  12. I bought my daughter a JD Bug a while back and it's only recently that I've realised how poor the geometry is. The top tube joins the seat tube pretty high up and the bars are low. The Spez Hotwalk on the other hand has a low top tube and higher bars giving it a more comfortable less twitchy ride. Got my boy a Strider which also looks more comfortable.
  13. Very cool.
  14. Sorry, what's the problem with tapping the bearing out? Have done it countless time and no damage.
  15. Gently tap a chisel or screwdriver from the bottom? Can you catch an edge?
  16. Saw an unortunate wipe. Fortunately not serious. Spectators were cheering a couple dressed as bride n groom (saw quite a few by the way) and chanting for him to kiss her. He kissed his hand and put it to her mouth and they both veered into the pavement flying over their handlebars. Some bike repairs and they were off.
  17. I'd send your query to Ken Bolton at gps warehouse. He does gps training and sells the stuff so can probably give you the best advice.
  18. Not familiar with new Etrex as my previous one was old but I use my Oregon as an all round gps. Car, boat, hike, ride anywhere I think I need it. Full mapping and routing when I need it. My Oregon is the 300 which they dont make any more. Seems like the Etrex fill that gap. If it wasnt for battery life and needing it in emergencies there are apps for the iPhone that can do tracks.
  19. There is or used to be a Ladies Tread ride that started at that coffee shop by Fratelli's.
  20. I use an Oregon when riding off beaten track. Apart from being a pukka gps I like the fact that it uses AA batteries. Full Mapsource functionality, routes, tracks etc. a bit chunky but not a problem.
  21. There is a pic of Kevin riding with his punctured tube weapped around his chest. Love it.
  22. Sad. Saw a noob chick almost ram straight into a pedestrian by the Victory Park Virgin. Him walking and her riding at walking pace, he managed to just swerve out the way as she crawled past. People are just so self absorbed these days.
  23. Because cyclists give themselves a bad name. Just like all taxis are painted with the same brush, cyclists are too. As a cyclist driving a car we are aware of cyclists. Non cyclist motorists not so. I do not understand how cyclists adhere to traffic laws that suit them. Why is it not obligatory for a pedal bicycle as a road going vehicle to be illuminated, licenced etc?

Hope the build session at Mike's went well. If you guys are looking for space there is a nice piece of dirt by the old Parkhurst Bowling Club. Perhaps our local councillor could assist, he's very active. Maybe Pirates have some space?
  25. The Psoas is a wonderful but often negected muscle. I learnt about it after having my abs removed. Pilates and variants of it have helped me immensely where the Psoas is required to do the postural work.
