  1. Know someone that has a "almost" complete set of pivots for a previous gen Scott Spark, DM me your number I will pass it on, he wanted R500. I have a Scott Genius and I was hoping they are the same but sadly they are not.
  2. Nobody is going to mention the sewerage, we had to ride through - GROSS!!
  3. @Henk Vermootensomeone advertised color ones just the other day, look in Classifieds, wasn't badly prices either.
  4. I would say, Premium brands from BMG like mentioned, INA, NSK, TIMKEN, NTN would be just as good if not better, I would say go for it, I have used many bearings from BMG in my current bike, wheels bearings, Suspension pivot bearing, all work perfect, sometimes the grease they put is is for industrial applications but after a few KM, they settle in.
  5. I think Zwift is good for the Social aspect of it and then obviously the E-racing thing if you into it.
  6. @Frostydid you register your product on their website, I have a second hand kickr 4 also got the 2.5 months.
  7. Toyota hilux?? more like the Lexus
  8. This is scary, we ride there on a regular basis.
  9. Lets see if we can sort out some shifters for this man, maybe someone has some 8 or 9 speed ones lying around.
  10. I recently converted a Silverback Sola 4 into a commuter, I use a draw-string bag to lug the cable lock with, just can not buy bread, it tends to squash, otherwise, its very easy to quickly pop out to the shops, I invested in Maxis Rambler tyres to make it tube less, I also take it on morning rides with the group, with the state of our roads it is advisable, this is my 2c, also a newbi, when it comes to commuting.
  11. I have one with a separate battery - I offered it to someone else a while back and he never collected, the battery pack might need re-packing, it only lasts like an hour - PM me, then we can sort something(after i checked with the other party)
  12. I torqued the suspension bushes on my Scott what it says on the bush(15NM - I only torqued to 13) and it Cracked, it going to cost big if I can not find someone to tig the flanges back on, hopefully a Welder at my work can help me out.
  13. and that is without pedals or anything else.
  14. I think the new Alu Scott ranges are very heavy or is it just me.
  15. I will second the Suikerbos route, little to no traffic on the route and proper training ride. There will be many groups training now, look-up DOC cycle group on Facebook, they normally ride from Rietvlei in Alberton.
  16. ACDC, does a UPS 1800va for around R1800
  17. How much are they now?
  18. There was a thread Amature 3D printing maybe you can get someone here to get the files from thingyverse, I am sure they will do it for 6 beers or so.
  19. You can get cheap ones from Decathlon(spelling) for around R400-500, works like a charm. Wahoo also a bit cheaper than Garmin.
  20. I recently installed fork on my MTB, I used he bearing that came off the bike and it had a plastic cage, well needless to say I dropped it, 2mm balls went flying all over my garage, wasn't fun at 8pm crawling around to get all the balls together again.
  21. Also had dealings with TVS, only good reviews. Thanks
  22. My friend have a Set of Vector 3 pedals and after Garmin replaced the battery covers (for free), the battery has gone down significantly.
  23. I just want to add my 2c, on the Ride for sight a guy with an E-bike entered and rode with a Normal number, although there was an e-bike class - that to me was wrong.
  24. Saw that, stayed with them until about 70 then we got dropped and somehow caught one guy at around 100k mark, achieved a PB for me, as Frosty said best conditions ever, came in at 3:12 from EL
  25. I am more or less your size, just 2kg up on you and I ride a Medium Scott Genius, Nothing wrong with the older Scotts. My bike started off as a 950 Genius, 2 x 10speed, I did the conversion to 1x11 XT, Upgraded the wheels to Rapide and added a 150mm Dropper post with a proper suspension fork - nothing more is needed for most riding at my age.
