  1. Dudes, really....
  2. I'm just as bummed about Tuli being cancelled. Still holding out for Berg 'n Bush in October, but I'm not too positive about it. Time will tell.
  3. Don't Bother with Birds of Prey https://www.imdb.com/title/tt7713068/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0 Think it took me 3 nights to finish.
  4. # 9 If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.Fair-weather riding is a luxury reserved for Sunday afternoons and wide boulevards. Those who ride in foul weather – be it cold, wet, or inordinately hot – are members of a special club of riders who, on the morning of a big ride, pull back the curtain to check the weather and, upon seeing rain falling from the skies, allow a wry smile to spread across their face. This is a rider who loves the work.
  5. You will need a big ass blue chain to keep that piece of art secure.... Really stunning! Please adopt me.
  6. Been avoiding the mornings, and ot has been pure bliss, the roads and trails are dead quiet. I should stop going on about it, as this will surely spark a new “avoid the crowds” phenomenon, and my quiet rides will be spoilt...
  7. Took the steel roadie out for a spin around the cradle today. Last time I was on this bike was at the cycle tour, and admittedly, this ride was not as much fun.... For me, at this time of the year, afternoon rides are preferable in this area, it was very quiet, which made it most enjoyable. I dont care much for Gauteng in winter, its butt ugly with all the brown, and the smoke in the air from veld fires. But it’s pretty awesome weather for afternoon rides.
  8. Reluctantly posting after the last couple of shares. The Transvaal certainly is in full swing. Started riding just before 2, was pleasantly toasty. Stopped at the obligatory cradle viewpoint photo stop (thats what I call it) and this one just for TNT... with silhouette intact stopped at the usual kêfie for a bit of a refuel. was well into golden hour at this stage, glad I packed arm warmers as the temp drops rapidly as the sun goes down. thought the tagline on the can was relevant and applicable.
  9. thats a heluva shot! thaba?
  10. That certainly puts the MSP! in the MSRP....
  11. always at the arse end of the bike considerations....
  12. I cant see myself spending that on a saddle.
  13. So, in a uncontrolled bout of insanity, totally against my every fibre, I went for a ride this morning before work. Lately, I have been real busy with work, which has been impacting on my riding time. By the time i'm done at night, the last thing I have energy for is a session on the trainer (piss poor excuse, but there it is nonetheless) Did I mention that it was cold? Trying to avoid the week-end rush in the cradle.... Did I mention that it was cold? It dropped to -3.8 after this, as I passed Avianto Hotel. I didnt mind, as I couldnt feel anything. Specially my toes.... Was great to be out, wanted to do the full cradle loop, but I had a meeting early, and did not want to risk being late from a mechanical or a biological. and it was cold...
  14. Another Zwift User *Sans Pitchfork I really enjoy Zwift, it is a heluvalot more fun than trainer road. The gamification with XP points, Drops to buy kit with (athough the only thing that really matters is getting on the Tron bike) and Chasing route badges is something I like a lot. There are some challenging Badges to obtain, that will really test you. Zwift gets my vote from a usability out the box point of view, as it can run on your mobile device.
  15. Has hitler or the holocaust been mentioned? (TLDNR)
  16. World Bicycle Day. I "postponed" a couple of my deadlines so I can go ride outside. Didn't venture too far, as I was worried about running out of daylight, and I still had to take my son for a run, Was good to be out, gave the necessary focus to complete my tasks later on.
  17. Took a burn through the cradle on my moto "on the way back" from site yesterday. Man alive, did that make me want to go ride it even more!!! Basically saw 3 roadies and as many mtb riders. Lucky sods. As an aside, there were maybe 3 other vehicles on the road from Avianto all the way to beyers circle. It was idyllic in terms of moto riding....
  18. what Robbie said. But the bike needs to be on the couch...
  19. you sound remarkably like those AIDS denialists.... or an anti vaxxer
  20. I’m also sans series at the moment. Been watching a whole bunch of movies the last while, mostly repeats.
  21. Excellent choice - you will not be sorry.
  22. This is awesome. There's one with the paperboy as well..
  23. Incedentally, Zwift broke me last night....Did a crit city race, though I was dying from a heart attack halfway through.
