  1. lol, actually only picking it up tomorrow, haven't seen in it the flesh! That pic from the shop.
  2. My new warranty frame replaced no hassles by Specialized.
  3. to me its as simple as, if you want to make a successful living as a pro cyclist you have to dope..like many of us stretch our expense claims when we submit our tax returns, or manipulate some figures in order to lessen the tax burden, which is essentially illegal and we can be charged with, many of them dope to gain an advantage, ironically it is not illegal and many of the armchair critics who do engage in illegal transgressions occasionally ( think drunk driving ) are the first to stand in the queue to stone the 'dopers' trying to make a living..is it right ,no..but they must earn money to survive and are victim to an entrenched culture that goings to take a lot more than publically crucifying Lance Armstrong to fix..my two cents.
  4. Cycling is not alone as a professional sport in using peds. If any of the other professional sports involving endurance and athleticism where subjected to the same testing protocol as professional cycling there would be far less raised eyebrows about cycling.
  5. keen, but need a ct based course.
  6. I do the same as JC. Have been LCHF or 2 years now. I like to think race hard ( 2nd in Knysna re:cm 200 recently ) my partner is carb fuelled for the record. I have learnt for me what works best is 'fuel to race' , I take whole carbs during an event, that's breakfast, lunch and supper. Outside of event I am LCHF, on higher and longer intensity training rides I will take an energy bar with, and have a recovery shake as well.
  7. guess who my new group ride friends are lol
  8. Worst thing to happen to cycling...unless British. Watching paint dry is on par with their and Sky's tactic's in the Tour. Of course this is only my opinion, but then we all entitled to our own opinion.
  9. nothing more than Lance no doubt , or all the other previous Tour winners
  10. well then he got a problem on his hands it appears, maybe he better call Lance and ask for some advice
  11. who cares , nobody worries about the biggest loser in a race it will blow over now he hasn't won
  12. agreed was an awesome event! Fun, nice vibe, good route, overall very glad I did it, was a last minute dot com decision. Will be back next year. And I still feel this way even with 4 punctures and taking a wrong turn on first day ( our fault!)
  13. I'm so happy we got so many good ( modest ) riders coming through the ranks internationally. Goodbye and good riddance Wiggins
  14. Please tell me you have reported it to the police !?
  15. You Sir are a Capitalists dream..
  16. not from the white ring/cover, that's sits proud by about 1mm, doesn't make contact with frame.
  17. is that a factory thing or shop thing ?
  18. Took it back to shop today, they sending it in. Lets see what agents have too say, hopefully resolved quickly. Ironically my Cannondale mtb is also in with warrantee issue so I am bikeless at the moment !
  19. so are they coming to Sa in august ?
  20. If you enjoy that read, get a book Mcmafia, very interesting..!
  21. no. it certainly didn't look like that when I bought it!
  22. thanks, will chat to bike shop Monday.
  23. that was stage 1 of Pioneer last year ! fun fun fun..... not !
  24. Hi All, So recently I been noticing my paintjob around my headset been 'cracking up' , frame is a 2012 SL4 Tarmac Pro ( bought new last year , less than a 1000km on it, 99% my riding mtb'ing nowadays ). By chance I came across a thread this am about as recall from Specialised on all 2012/13 SL4 Pro framesets due to fork issue. My question could this be related ? Anyone else experience this with an Specialised SL frameset ?
  25. I agree with above sentiment. If I look at it rationally how realistic is it to expect my body to migrate within a matter of months and perform at the same intensities and effectivenss as I have had it fine tuned for all of my life ( carbs ) and more than half of it performing exercise at intensity on carbs. I would like to see what a person raised on lchf ( ie most of life ) who developed into a competent endurance sportsman could do with lchf intake.
