  1. I rode trailseeker Cullinan today .Plenty sand ,thick and not so thick ,but rideable .Also plenty rocky with marbels sections and gravel and some tar and graspolle .No mud unfortunatelly .TODAY I HAD PERFECT TYRE PRESSURES ! .On the whole 68km route i was thinking this is as good as it gets regarding tyre pressures .I weigh 102kg .I was floating over the sand and banging down the bad rocky descents .I managed to climb a really steep, loose ,marbles section with enough traction .On the gravel and tar it did not feel asif i was kept back by rolling resistance .So when i was home i measured with my 15 year old trusty joe blow floor pump and it measured 22 PSI or 1.5 bar both front and rear .My normal pressures are 1,8 rear and 1.6 front .This morning the tyres felt a little soft ,but i knew the route and just rode like they were .Use it or not .I just thought i will share my humble experience .Note ! I also have a ryder floor pump that measured below 20 psi ,18 psi perhaps ,but i dont trust it,s gauge
  2. Well organized race in my home town .I cycle from home to the start .Thanks to the traffic department putting up with some serious upset motorists in the CBD .Raced in DL until the hilly part towards harties ,then soloed until i joined riders on the highway .I still cannot ride in a bunch at 60km/h going downhill .I think the route is as good as it is going to get this time round
  3. I weigh 100kg and never go over 2 bar .My go-to pressures are 1.6 front and 1.8 rear .With wide rims that is even better for lower pressures
  4. Sunlight soap works so much easier .Rather show me an easy way to remove them
  5. yup
  6. For standing and pedalling they work better than normal grips .My other bikes don't have bar ends ,but i keep them for the SS
  7. I have a 120mm fork on my inbred .Works great !
  8. O bugger .My bad .I was never good with spelling and names
  9. I am on my forth indola .I like the many pockets and the padding is good enough for long rides .They also fit well and the material becomes soft and comforable .Specialized baggies are also a very good fit and robust .They are expensive though .Pearlizumi and Fox are OK and first ascent are the worst fit imo .In short i would buy indola any time and if i can find he correct size and colour spez ones i will buy them
  10. I recognize the trail tech bike .I also ride a Kona hei hei with 120mm fox 34 in front .Very happy so far .Barzo in front and ikon 2,35 rear works well for me
  11. The big question is .Canhttps://youtu.be/0_zeHWK0iE0 you wheelie an ebike
  12. Beautiful .Will go well with my orange silicon grips
  13. Marathon entry for sale .0834411061

  15. Signs of Zumanomics filtering thru the whole country .Seeded in B .Last road event was Tshwane classic
  16. Buy an old bike that you put on the Kickr permanently and adjust the seat height accordingly .Any cheap Hardtail will do with 2 x10 setup
  17. Rode in 2013 .Footage of the dry run looks amazing .Whole route is lush and green .Keeping things clean and dry is going to be a challenge .Probably the best event i have done
  18. I can confirm that n is indeed 8 .The bike permanently on the IDT also counts
  19. Not ideal MTB area .Rideable area behind golf coarse .Rather leave the bike and hike a plenty
  20. This is when vigilantism stars making sense
  21. The small ,10 tooth cog, looks fine .Then the rest would also be fine
  22. This makes sense .I have a sram 1 x 10 that works fine and also shimano 1 x 11 .However i still run a 2 x 10 XT and will stick to that .It just works so well i don,t want to mess with it .1 x anything is not the ultimate .Shimano 2 x 11 was still the best gear setup i have ridden to date .Except for eagle ,all the 1 x setups wear the small cogs to fast imo
  23. Was done a couple of years back ,under local ,in theater ,by urologist .I still had discomfort after a six month period .My wife could discontinue hormonal birth control ,and that made a huge difference in her emotional state .If only for the latter reason it was worth it ,and i have three children already
  24. Wanted to do it ,but doing Route 66 instead .Now i don,t have to wait a year
