I only service a fork when it becomes sticky .Usually takes like 3 years before that happens and then it is cleaned and oil replacement done only .I never wash it with soap ,only wipe clean and turn it upside down overnight

WD40 for cleaning chain .Spray on leave for 5 minutes and repeat .Then i use bike cleaning soap ext. .I prefer oil based lubrication like purple extreme .Stopped waxed based lubes long ago .Bike gets hosed off after every ride ,but that is it .Ten years of no issues .Bike service every like 3 years or so .My 2019 Epic bike was cleaned after the last day .Has not been serviced again

I also HATE HOT STARTS like in most road races .It takes me an hour to warm up ,but then i run on auto pilot .If it is a flattish start i try to hold on .If it is a climbing start like at 94,7 i just let the group go an catch them later .If you are a racer then warm up properly before ?

I am confidant on Barzo 2,35 front and Ikon 2,35 rear .Good volume and i run them on 1,8 bar .Seems to be the best combo for me .I also have a Nobby nic front and ikon rear bike that works really well in all but tar conditions

I had exactly the same problem ,it turned out to be a fractured brake hose .Those brake hoses are very specifically build with reinforced inner lining that cracked .The hose makes a bubble at the fracture site ,but does not leak

Me also thinks it is the endpoint of the fork travel ,where the ring protects the surface .The surface beneath the ring is polished by the fork movement and the ring area is not

Agree on the spez baggies .Best quality,cut and comfort .They come at a price though .I am on my third indola pair .Once they are worn,faded,they become soft and very comfortable

Baggies are warmer in winter .Knee warmers just look dof .I can go shopping in my cycling gear when i return from a trail .I don,t shave my legs and wearing lycra with unshaven legs looks dof .Enough pockets for keys ext .Nobody can judge your abilities under baggies ,so you surprise the lycra -lot when you pass them at high speed .Imagine Roglic winning the tour wearing baggies .That would be epic .The most important reason is not why you should wear baggies ,but why you should not wear lycra
