  1. Here in Tshwane double cab bakkies are worst than the Taxi,s .Especially those Raptor driving idiots .If they are in the building industry they seem to be on their phones permanently
  2. WD40 to get everything loose ,then muckoff or something similar
  3. For my weight at 100kg i ride with 1,6 Bar front and 1,8 rear pressures on 2:35 size tyres.Lower pressures are almost always better than too hard
  4. Some sellers are great at replying and get their goods sold .
  5. I am in as long as i don,t have to fetch my registration pack in Bapsfontein
  6. This is shortsighted from the landlord .This place has picked up a lot this year .Everybody has taken a knock .The shop was an integral part of the whole place .The whole cycling industry ,shops, events ext is struggling
  7. Trailwolf is separate from the trails .The shop helped out with the trail tickets .They have their reasons and the servicing part was always very busy .Shaun mentioned a principle issue ?Any way ,they will be missed .They rest of wolwespruit will carry on as always or become a squatter camp ?The land is owned in a private trust that does not allow housing development apparently .Any feet on site can only be a good thing .Customers = income = security = viability .I still think a cycling shop will work there if the rent is reasonable .Or a Tammy Taylor nails franchise ?
  8. Ag no !! I thought things were going ok and they were always booked in advance for servicing ?? .Another covid casualty ?
  9. I pump my hard-tail,s tires to 3 Bar, lock my fork ,grab her by the bar-ends and then i call her a Gravel bike
  10. Bikeporn
  11. Wolwespruit lower section is fine for kids .Don,t take them up the hill yet .They will enjoy them pump track also
  12. Contact Epic sports in centurion ,i bought my RM from them and they still have some parts
  13. Merida also make big frame like 23 inch mtb .Their silex gravel bike in XL is a huge bike .
  14. 194cm tall on 62 cm pinarello frame and 60 cm BMC .The BMC is actually a bigger bike .Look at gravel bike frames also
  15. I am in a fortunate position where i kept my old bikes .So i still ride bikes with 2012 frames and components .I see in the classifieds 2012 bikes with aluminium frames and full XT selling for around R15000 . I am still riding such bikes on a weekly basis .Although the modern bikes are nice to have ,I will hop on any of those old ones and do a comfortable stage race .I have never over serviced any bike or fork ,but bikes are cleaned and maintained as needed .The stress of riding a R200000 bike and leaving that on a bike rack ,worrying about every little scratch , defeats the purpose of thrashing a MTB and enjoying the sport full on ,cleaning it, and doing it again with little worry about your investment ."The enemy of good is better" .It applies to cycling also
  16. I build my own bikes ,by patiently buying the parts i want over a few months .I get what i want at the price i am willing to pay .I have yet to walk into a shop and buy a bike of the floor
  17. I hate cycling wearing clothes that weigh as much as my bike .IDT all the way .The couple of warm long-sleeve cycling tops i have are all imported ones that were expensive at the time ,but they are warm ,fit well and last .Getting the correct size is always an issue when importing ,especially the Italian stuff
  18. I also weigh 100 kg Had a 2011 and 2012 model .One was stolen and the other was sold .Never had any frame issues
  19. Really enjoyed that video .Had my SS serviced recently and that is what i am riding tomorrow.I can relate so much to what was said in the video. It is exactly that and more
  20. Are they advertised on this site ?I found the bergamont but only a giant trance in large
  21. My first two full sus bikes were anthems .Make sure the components are still in good condition .If the bergamont has the same components,i would go giant ,but if ,for the same prize the bergamont has better and newer components i would go for that .All my bikes are not well known brands
  22. I prefer shorts .Just difficult to find good ones
  23. Anything that has potential of getting dusty and making noises while riding don,t appeal to me .Now if i could hide a weapon of mass destruction and detonate it remotely in there ,i might be interested
  24. I have used Kinomap .Good videos and interesting locations .You can race somebody else,s time . Rouvy was complicated and never really worked well for me .RCG works well ,costs nothing ,but requires more input and patience when loading videos .Zwift works well and the racing is fun .The structured training events on Zwift are fun and brilliant for getting fit ,Epic rides ext .ZWIFT is expensive but worthwhile and the only software i am currently using .I will use kinomap if i get bored with zwift
