Maybe because the Ultegra is harder wearing so lasts longer than the DA one and is cheaper? Since one is doing a lot more k's in training than in racing (or at least should be ....) and weight is not 'that' important unless it's the famous ICG every morning race ........

I would for sure split the tools amongst the 2 of you. We did that at SabieX. Doesn't make a huge difference but doesn't make sense both carry multitools, pumps, lube, duct tape, patch kit etc. BigBen2009-02-09 06:13:59

Pixie the HUB 'spocket rockets' are gonna want to know ..... 1) MTB or road 2) What crank? 3) In fact exact model number wll have them falling over their feet with scientific engineering reasons and possible solutions including the rubishing etc. of the various manufacturers designs etc.
