  6. It must cause thinning of the oxygen and stimulation of EPO production in the body, kind of an altitude effect, I presume.

  8. The pros on Shimano will prob go for aftermarket big gears for their cluster then.

  11. Thanks for the commentary. I'm busy counting Cape Parrots this evening, and from 6 tomorrow morning????
  12. Well done. Pity the thief never ran into a tree or two for his troubles.
  13. Autumn moon rise , S4
  14. I use Google Earth extensively, but the areas are on private land, which a few of us have permission to use, provided that anyone that rides there signs an indemnity form. So a bunch of riders turning up and just riding would jeopardize our access. It's happened to me before, and while I was negotiating access again, under strict limitations, a bunch of idiots ignored the no access signs, and I was told to forget it. I also help with anti-poaching so they have no problems with me there at the present. I don't use Strava. Other people that do the races don't set their strava on private!!!
  15. I do that, I never start my tracker where I'm staying, regardless of whether I live there or not.
  16. This bothers me, people that ride races that are on private property, with strava on, are just asking to get my favorite rides banned. I have permission to ride in the area's, but rogue riders will stuff things up.
  17. They're Californian Fanie. They are my neighbours, I live on the highest point on that road. I've got downhill runs with 400m drop. Steep country.
  18. Lower down the Henderson valley, you won't be riding down here. They say the baboons need walking sticks down here ????
  19. I had one of these coming towards me at a veldfire last year, in the dark, it was flippen scary, because you have no idea in which direction it will go.
  20. I'm not a happy dog this morning.
  21. She doesn't mind the washing, luckily because she has to be washed often. Lots of ticks in our area, and a hunting dog picks many up. Poor dog she's back home and very sore. She's lying in her bed now.
  22. There was another Jack Russel on this thread with the name Biscuit, she was unfortunately run over last year
  23. I'm missing my dog today, she went into town to the vet to be spayed this morning, there's a void at my feet today.
