  1. 1500 for the set apparently. Open to offers
  2. Does anyone need / want a pair of rd350 ypvs trispoke rims? A mate of mine has some in his rafters just taking up space.
  3. Actually owning the car, for one... Magnum was a squatter...
  4. Only if they had decent drivers. Not like Hamilton. More drivers like Danny, Sainz, LeClerc, Lando etc
  5. Fair enough, but we SEE Zak, and hear from him all the time.
  6. I used to be a Ferrari man, simply because they were red, and 3yo me loved red cars. But since the loss of Schumie, I've been hunting for a new team. I was kinda in with RB when Vettel was there, but I don't like Vettel anymore and there's just something about Horner that just doesn't gel, for some reason. Mercedes excites me, because they're faaaaar ahead of everyone else, technically. Toto seems to have his head screwed on very tight, and he is extremely straightforward. But I despise Hamilton, so they're out. I've never really liked Mclaren, but with Zak in charge, and the drivers they have, they're my firm favourites. They just seem like the complete package at the moment, and getting Dani Ric next year could be VERY good for them. Not sure whether they'll have the same dynamic as Norris & Sainz do, but I'm well impressed by their organisation and drivers, lately. Plus, Norris is now definitely my favourite driver. I hope the Merc package works out well. They seem to have an excellent car underneath them, and Norris is frighteningly quick in the corners.
  7. Have you watched The Holiday? Same sorta thing, but with Jack Black and a few other excellent actors. LA is one of those classic feel-good movies, and it helps that it's actually damn funny.
  8. That's a bit disingenuous, though. He'd have had to use LR / PS to do some post-processing, or at the very least to convert from RAW to JPEG. I'm almost certain he'd have passed it through a couple of filters, or adjusted the levels, to get the colour he wanted. No image manipulation / photo layering would have been a more accurate statement than "no photoshop"
  9. Hahaha lol. Got rid of that bike in 2010 or so, bought a carbon Schwinn Peloton, now on a steelie Alpina.
  10. I am a soutie....
  11. Thanks, will check it out. Yeah, the speakers are proper. It seems I had decent taste back in the day. ????
  12. Also, I need to replace my amp. It's an old Marantz pm 7200, 95w/channel superstar, that is going to the agent for a service / fault finding mission. I have since found its replacement (in terms of quality and power) is north of 40k. Eeeek. I bought it for GBP 250 or so back in 2003. Seems it was quite the powerhouse, and not matched since. It was powering 2 Jami x550 floorstanders, which are still pomping out massive bass and crystal clear mids and highs. I won't need to replace these, ever. Just add to them. So. What could reliably drive these, while having 4k passthrough ability!? If it comes down to it, I'll repair it (if possible) but I'm not sure if possible.
  13. Can anyone tell me anything about these?
  14. 2008, bro....
  15. butt of course.
  16. No imagination necessary... And no beard, anmore...
  17. I may have let a couple tears loose.
  18. Yeah, never. I was really surprised when I heard that, to be honest, and it made me really happy to hear that they'd come through, finally...
  19. If they've been abused and neglected, absolutely. Same as any animal, really. Even a kid.
  20. That's a very good article, thanks! So a combo of a different caliper design, finned pads and higher mass rotors meant the guys that went for the "heaviest" of the lot were far better off than the Yams. I have to say, seeing the difference in corner speeds between the Duc, Suzy & KTM was frankly astonishing. Those new visuals add a lot of context to the viewing. Sometimes as high as 5kph, IIRC.
  21. Dude. When a kitten snaps, you become bloodsport.
  22. Ye. And give em space if you can see they're nervous. A few weeks ago Genie and I were riding from Rhodes to the Nek, and in the upper Cecilia region there was a dog coming down one of the sections, with her mom in tow. Could see she (and her mom) was nervous. Instead of trying to push past, we stopped and pulled to the side of the trail, letting her come through by herself, on her own terms. Shame, she was utterly petrified of the bikes, but as soon as we stopped we became non-threatening. No funny freehub noises, no large strange tall humans on funny devices.
  23. Definitely. Add to this that if you get a rescue, and they've been abused, it's going to be a long, difficult road to getting them rehabilitated and comfortable with strangers. Not their fault - if they've been raised with sadistic parents or kids, they'll likely see everyone in that group as a threat. There's only been one time when I've been uncomfortable around a dog, and that was when I was walking in Newlands Forest with my lightie, who absolutely adores dogs. 2 purebred GSD's on very tight leashes were walking up to us, and I could see they were heckling everything that came past, and the lady holding the leads unfortunately had no control. My little one wanted to go up to them, but as soon as the dogs saw him, they started growling, properly. I took his hand and led him away. "sorry, sorry, they always do this" as I have to explain to my lightie why he can't let them sniff his hand, and she's tugging them away from everyone that comes past.
