  1. The 30 day bundle for R 5,210 is bloody decent. That's less than you'd pay for the rent alone to have enough space for a small selection of tools.
  2. Ye. Annual check. You get 150 points per month that your check is valid for. Oh oh. I got you now. Slow brain day. ???????????? I dunno, mate. But it must be. The vitality drive isn't my bag, don't really deal with short term.
  3. I don't think so. I just think that the VD points are valid for a 12 month period, so you only have to do your next check in October next year. Remember VD is monthly points, not annual.
  4. nah, not a mission at all, unless you want to max out on teh bank points, the vitality drive points and so on. If you just want to enjoy the benefits of Vitality, it's simple as pie.
  5. No,no need for cash on there all the time. Same ish fees, better benefits. It's well worth the swap.
  6. No. You don’t need to have a DB account to get good vitality rewards. They’re still there. The DB account just gets you better ones, like the disc card did, before. No changing goal posts. Vit rewards have always been enhanced with the presence of other Disco products. Garden variety vitality is still as good as it’s always been, and you aren’t suddenly getting worse benefits if you don’t have a card.
  7. Shame. I really feel for him. No time in the car at all prior to q3.
  8. GRD was lekka on the mic.
  9. I was watching on DSTV online.
  10. Looked like he fell victim to elbows or a missed shift in the start, then caught someone's wheel and dropped to 16th or something and was boxed in by a small group in the initial laps. Just couldn't come back from that.
  11. Such a demanding course! Upset that my lady KC is out. ????
  12. Ja. Mega douche move.
  13. Bahahahahahahaha
  14. Arrogance. I can only ascribe it to that. I mean, heck. That Pre launch press release saying "we're still the best!" was hilarious. And ja. I mean, j was always gonna go AMD with my next rig, but this cements it even more. Just gonna grab an itx 550 mobo, a 3100 / 3300 or whatever, then be set for at least another generation. Heck, even a 450 mobo would be fine.
  15. Yeah, they're $50 more than their previous gen counterparts. But. That doesn't mean there's not gonna be a normal 5600, or a 5300 etc etc. The 3600 (not 3600x) is a beast, and will likely be the chip of choice going forwards when pairing with a b550 x570 board, because you can still upgrade later. Or the 1600AF, even. An important point, though. AMD have historically competed on a price to performance perspective. That's what got them to the 25% market share. They're now shifting to a quality based offering, instead. To get them mo money for mo development. Taking the fight directly to Intel, and giving themselves scope for more R&D later, to carry on kicking that llamas ass.
  16. Yes, that's VR & VC (Team Vitality stuff) not Vitality itself. Still not once-off, though. Annually billed, as Jehosefat says. Vitality itself is monthly. Has been forever (unless it was annually before 2008, when I first joined Disco)
  17. I think there's a pushback against "distasteful" RGB where it seems as if a Unicorn on psychedelics just threw up in a box and applied a charge to it. Rainbow effects, different tones between manufacturers, bad implementation, not ENOUGH LED's (so it seems like it's a bunch of fireflies together in a jar) and so on. I prefer RGB because it lets me choose the aesthetic that works for me. My keyboard (before it got coffee all over it and died) was RGB and I had it on a soft phasing regime, which was very pleasing. My current KB has the same red as VW's instrumentation in the 2000's, which is, frankly, atrocious. I'd love to be able to switch to a blue / purple / white, but I can't. That means I'll be shelling out more for an RGB kboard when it's replaced. Ashiq's temp-linked RGB implementation sounds like the kinda thing I'd be able to get along with nicely. But I think that the push back to monochrome is because of this shoddy RGB Unicorn vom we saw recently, when EVERYONE had it, and it had to look like the inside of a caleidoscope.
  18. No, you're reading it incorrectly / it's bad wording. Nike concept stores now in the pot, too.
  19. Ja, I agree. It's just that not many people would get that full benefit out, and the cost implications of getting to the level that you'd be able to enjoy those rewards, if you're not a qualifying member already, are potentially quite high.
  20. I didn't cover that as I don't reckon it's a massive benefit for most people.
  21. For what? If you're looking at productivity / heavily threaded workload, the TR still makes sense in some use cases. If general gaming, business and media, then no. It would be an absolute and utter waste. The 3600 will be more than enough for pretty much anything.
  22. Yes. But, you can take them to Lower Tokai, which is where the walking / green belt loops are. But in teh Tokai MTB trails section, nope. I wouldn't want to, either, as it's home to babboons. Dogs and babs don't get on. At all.
  23. Hmmmmm... After fixing many, many problems created by others' ignorance and stupidity, I have to say that the path to inner peace should be "not my problem, but I'll fix it anyway"
