  1. oh, absolutely. I'm done with thin sidewalls. Even snakeskin / grid / FRC casings aren't gonna make the grade when I get a new set of tyres.
  2. Says it on the sidewall. Also remember that you may have bought some old stock...
  3. Yeah the canis we get here is the soft one. Needs at least a FRC casing to prevent excessive roll.
  4. doesn't affect existing policy holders, but it's those newer policy holders who have Vitality & med aid. Essentially medical claims are now linked to cover increases and premium increases instead of just premium increases. Therefore if you have bad claims, your cover will increase slower and your premium will increase faster, whereas those with policies issued before the changes your premium would have increased faster but so would your benefits. So there wasn't that much of an issue as if you'd been a Diamond vit member your policy cover increases would have been ~ 1.07% higher than if you were a Silver member. Now there is, potentially... As for Momentum - nope. Not yet. And they're generally VERY tight-lipped about things, though their last excitement was around the med aid increases which were "so much better" than the rest of the market... and they ended up being - yes - exaaaactly the same as the rest of the market. So take it with a pinch of salt.
  5. No. I don't like the changes, nor does my director. They remove the certainty that was there in terms of the product not becoming too expensive, that weren't there 2 years ago, and replaced it with more product complexity. We're now increasingly looking elsewhere for cover when the client isn't a "vitality client". Up until last year, if you managed Vitality, you were golden. Regardless of health claims etc. Now - not so. Said "specialist" is trying to convince us through emotive means that it's not the case, and they are still the best in *all* situations.
  6. LOL. Listening in to the meeting between Vit specialist & my director discussing "the ethos of Vitality" wrt the changes and how it affects our ability to market the product. LOL. Trying so hard. But not winning, 'cos he (the "specialist") is trying to invoke emotion. When we've analysed it endlessly ourselves.
  7. You missed a lot!! Lower canaries are a bit meh, IMO. Upper canaries and then into the Flow trail are where it's at! Have a look at my strava activity to get the best way to get to the top of the canaries. Well, not the top top, but close enough. Instead of climbing the canaries, there's a left hand turn onto a cleared section around 200m up the first hill. Take that, and then climb. To get to the top top, you need to take a left hand fork where you see I've taken a right @ the 1h24 mark. https://www.strava.com/activities/853850309
  8. Yeah, the lack of trees on Canaries is a bit sniffworthy, but they're riding SO well at the moment! Love how rocky & loose it's become.
  9. That Navworld price is a special pre f5 release price.... They've dropped heavily.
  10. Lol. I've been trying to convince him to sell them to me for a ridiculously low amount for the past 18 months. Beautiful wheelset
  11. Looks like SUCH a jol! But Gracia's winning time of 44 minutes on day one is a bit of an eye opener... Would be suuuuuuper difficult. But so rad!
  12. if it's rolling at your desired pressure, then yeah. There's the level above that, which is Double Down. Effectively a DH Lite casing. Next tyres I get are definitely going to be either Super Gravity casing (schwobble) or the DD's. It's just not worth playing around with flimsy tyres.
