  1. You're gonna tell me it's Jorge, aren't you?
  2. Something I've noticed. When Rossi comes 2nd, or 1st, or wherever, he acknowledges that the person in front of him (regardless of who he is) was faster than him on the day, and acknowledges that he was able to get the better of the 2nd / 3rd / 4th. Jorge just flat out disregards Rossi altogether. Noticed it again yesterday when he said he could "relax a bit" when Dovi & MM crashed. He never did actually rest up, he carried on putting in those consistent lap times. He just either blames something for not coming first, or disregards everyone else when he wins. Not an ideal portrayal of a sportsman.
  3. One thing's for sure, Roux. You certainly don't need side knobs cos it looks as if you only go in a straight line...
  4. It's called a Bubba Scrub. And you'd better believe he did it on purpose. Squash the take-off, lower trajectory and a faster overall speed over the jump. Winning.
  5. Wide. Don't have any experience with a GC though
  6. This. Next tyre I'm getting is definitely having thicker sidewalls than my current hans dampf snakeskin. Super Gravity or DH casings, please. Just wish the Canis was available locally in the FR casing.
  7. Supposedly enhanced grip (not that difficult to achieve) with the presence of harder middle knobs also in a different design to retain better rolling resistance. First off, it looks a helluva lot better and the knobs seem to be more widely spaced, which is a good thing
  8. As for Marquez and Dovi... what the hell!?
  9. Brilliant rides from Lorenzo, Rossi and Vinales. Lorenzo's consistency was just fantastic. And as for Rossi's racing. Loool. Over the hill? Showing riders almost half his age how to do it.
  10. If this lesson hasn't told you not to go for lightweight tyres because they're "faster" - I don't know what will. X king has far less grip and I wouldn't touch the non protection version. Maxxis crossmark has fokkol grip. We've given you our recommendations yet you spurn them. I'd STILL recommend the Canis, but this time go for the 60tpi version. You yourself have said that you wanted tougher tyres. Those 120tpi's are NOT that. The 60's are.
  11. which casing did you have for the Onza? The 120tpi? If so, no wonder they were cut. Those sidewalls are like toilet paper. You should have gone for the 60TPI, and that is still what I'd recommend. Far stronger.
  12. yeah, the bomb would have had an effect for sure., Oh - it makes a fantastic rear tyre, but agreed - wouldn't use it on the front myself unless I was doing XCM.
  13. can't wait to be able to commute again. Just another 18 months before the lightie goes to Grade R, and then I can get to the office on my steed. Leave my car there in the evenings during the week and hey presto! 36km per day and more if I want to do the green belts as a cheeky post-commute bit of MTB.
  14. Looks like a decently lugged xc tyre. Looking forward to your thoughts
  15. Wrong way around Ben. Eldron has the skills to manage a tyre with below par grip. We don't.
  16. Don't. As long as you go for the 60tpi version you'll be fine. All the complaints are in the 120tpi version which are like toilet paper.
