  2. I think I'll make a turn there when next in CT.

+1, waited a week, phoned them and was told that they don't have stock...thanks for letting me know guys!
  4. Vitamin B injection immediately, anti-biotic's as a last resort Pain management meds if necessary Take 3 days off work if possible and lie down and rest Don't ride until you feel that you could ride at 90% of the intensity you normally would (7days) Good luck!
  5. Have you tried the White Lightning wax drivetrain lube...? Maybe the your chain is catching something it shouldn't.
  6. Sorry can't help with the alignment issue but I would recommend that you go back to Linden Cycles and tell them about your concerns, I'm sure they'd be more than happy to help. Start with the main problems, i.e. alignment and work your way down to the minor issues/irritations. If they aren't willing to help then come back on the Hub and tell us all about it. Fair...?
  7. Crasher how's the Route 69 ride going? Hope you're feeling a little stronger mate. Mr.T the guys meet in the bottom parking lot of the Virgin Active gym in Strubens Valley at 6am on Sundays but in my experience only when confirmed in this thread, not a standing arrangement in other words, don't want you waiting there unnecessarily. I won't ride tomorrow but will definitely ride next Sunday. Propose down Beyers, past Carnivore, (+ a small loop in Avianto area), back to quarry road and home...?
  8. Very very nice, what weight did she come in on?
  9. Wow...does anyone know the actual date of this accident? (sorry I might have overlooked it somewhere in the thread).
  10. Interesting, thanks for sharing this insight Leet. What were they drinking?
  11. Seems like some the usual suspects are ill at the moment...I know I've been on light duty for the last 2 weeks. If my ear infection clears up sufficiently I'd love to ride but I can only make that call Saturday affie. I post an update at that time on this thread.
  12. I've tried all the tyres mentioned (and others) and in my experience the Continental GP4000S Black Chilli is the one I've had the least punctures on. Re. pressures, when I started road biking I was obsessed with rock hard tyres of 9 Bar but over the years I've some down to 7.5 Bar at the back and 7 upfront, where for my weight of 80kg, I find best comfort/grip/rolling resistance compromise.
  13. Anyone else had a similar experience?
  14. Thanks for sharing Wisecrack
  15. If Supercycling give the incompetent organisers a soft landing tonight it'll be the last time I watch that program. Resignations not apologies, enough is enough!
  16. Thanks for the heads up Gary. I've been planning a ride over Breeds using Garmin Connect (http://connect.garmin.com/page/activity/player.faces?activityId=19711042&actionMethod=page%2Factivity%2Fplayer.xhtml%3AuserSwitcher.switchSystem&cid=647857) and really looked forward but now I'm not sure whether its worth the risk. Would you do it again?
  17. The next time I see Mr. Greg Till in the street I'm going to tell him to his face that he's an absolute joke and if he had any self respect at all he should resign. Absolutely pathetic, no doubt we'll soon be "treated" to him dancing around this issue making excuses on Supercycling... I refuse to pay any license fees to these clowns....They don't represent me.
  18. Another option is to visit Bikebay.co.za and have a look around, bought and sold 2 bikes there over the last 5 years and saved many RRRR's This allows you to buy a used bike (hard tail or softtail or 29'er) ride it for a while, get feel for what you like (don't like) and then keep it or sell and upgrade it with not too much of a financial penalty.
  19. Harley Davidson's XL Forums (for Sportster's) has a system whereby you give reputation points for people that add value to the topic. It's quite effective, its certainly better than just looking at someone's post count. Unfortunately some hubber's think quantity is more important than quality.
  20. Any comments on White Lightning's Clean Ride. Been using it for a while, chain stays nice and clean but the wax accumulates on the jockey wheels and around the chainrings. Based on what I've read here I'm going to try some Purple Extreme on my road bike.
  21. Specialized, for your type of riding the Roubaix's geometry would be great...
  22. Just a thought, why not contact Garmin SA and ask one of their technical guys?
  23. +1 for Backabuddy... Used it for a charity Kilimanjaro climb and raised double my goal. Good to hear from you again Frail...
  24. 1.Option 4 but please check that the script on the side of the shorts doesn't clash with the script on the side panels on the shirt 2.As much white as possible for the heat 3.Must be full zip 4.Good quality "shammy" (First Ascent Revolution etc)
