  1. R10K that's a generous reward, the thief might bring it back for that, good luck...I'm sure CT will be full of bounty hunters this weekend (I'm on my way )
  2. Up untill a few years ago I would have said have a chat with your neighbour & find out what went down..........but over the years I have realised that we are not all the same "normal" logical individuals, some people are just wankers (like my parents neighbour).....poisoined their trees, built a pool half in their property, put up barb wire fences...sorry another story as this is now in court and costing my parents (on pension) a packet, as there is no reasoning with some people ...........sorry I am not helping and have no usefull advise

Is there a way to search by your #?

To the organisers and the scarifices made by some residents, shopping centers, etc (in relation to the road closures), what a brilliantly organised event, it was my and the wifes 1st time and we could not believe how well it was organised, WELL DONE. What a ride though...I thought I was going to win the whole thing untill the Krugersdorp highway, jeeez the average speed kept going down and down and down & the heat kept going up and up....managed to finish in 3:58, my wife was incredible and came in at 4:59 . If there is a next time, maybe we will get road bikes....they seem to go a little faster
  5. & you're going to let it go for between R3 & R4.5K?
  6. I am a self proclaimed plonker, as sometimes, just sometimes, I do not wear my helmut.

jeez easy on the acronyms. I obvioulsy know nothing about cycling
  8. not many *edit* ooops sorry champ, thought you were reffering to some other post about the municipal idiots that fix our pot holes....but clicked you were probably talking about the good guys that started the post.
  9. Nishiki just looks like someone trying to piss us all off!!....its working.
  10. Well done. Our roads are in a shocking state.........maybe we should withhold some of our tax money and rather fund you guys. Thanks
  11. Would have thought the hub is the perfect forum to raise & highlight such an issue, creating awareness across a wide range of cyclists will lead to less such ignorance. I for one take in some of the posts & comments on this site in order to be more respectfull & mindfull of fellow riders, motorists, etc
  12. I'm still to much of a sceptic to put my hard earned rands into an african country.............but hey if it works for you, congrats and enjoy...let us know if you need someone to fill in for a few weeks in paradise.
  13. Ridiculous I would have come up behind the cyclist and continued to hoot untill the plonker moved out the way...............I have road rage issues (I even feel some tension right now just typing this post and having the image in my head)
  14. I noticed moving from my DB (LH rear) to my Scott (RH rear), I just adapted. Hand strenght I would have rather said dexterity plays more of a role in deciding which side to put your rear or front brake lever.
  15. Must be new, as I did not come across any sections like this...must go again
  16. I stay in the area, there is no "official" route, which is a pity as there are enough open spaces. But from 18h30 to 20h00 I would not reccomend any off road routes, purely from a safety point of view.

    Outfit :))

I need one of those suites for my daughters bday
  18. Not sure why you are stressing about the thread. I think you are right that where/when good service is found it should be raved about, as normally we tend to focus on the negative.
  19. I got great service from Cajees Alberton.............just saying. On pricing, I bought a Schawlbe 29er Rocket Ron tyre for R350, Maxxis crossmark 29er for R299 and 2 continental city ride tyres at R195ea, good deal, I think..........just saying
  20. then just take it off...unscrew a few allen caps and remove the cables from the shock(s) & it's off.....just make sure you have it in the unlocked position before removal.
  21. I say give it a shot.......it is good as a designer and manufacturer to be made aware of these type of things as it then helps them to improve on future designs.......they may be so appreciative they may throw in a bike
  22. +1

    Flu

My secret is to drink orange juice every day & it seems to work for the most part.....its those late nights out having a few to many that seems to take the immune system by suprise.
  24. Nope get used to it, the service pretty much sux up in Gauteng (in general), with exactly what you said most dont give a sh it. In JHB you almost have to beg and plead suppliers to do something for you.
