  1. I fail to see your argument with regard to things like powerbalance as this is a medical information for peace of mind and not to give you any perceived powers. If you don't see value in it, don't buy it. Alternatively generate a QR Code online, then print the QR code with the medical symbol on to sticky labels and stick onto your helmet or bike. A first responder can easily then read the QR code and get relevant information.
  2. Signatures have disappeared !?
  3. With Durban happening, I suspect that PE will !!
  4. Thanks, never needed to go all the way to the bottom of the page, after reading or posting the last comment, was always back to top right... another thing to get use to!
  5. Vaccine passports may be required to race soon? Will be interesting to see the reaction and in cases like SA where we may not get vaccinated until 2022..... https://www.slowtwitch.com/Opinion/Proof_of_Vaccine_Appears_In_Triathlon_7940.html?fbclid=IwAR2D3SXIU0iuASTp1CpqHXcB9MpiQzhZ6Elm-Q2DAMCMm4I9Ef-VYXd5DaM

  7. Well done in finishing your first. The aim of the first is to finish and learn from it. Think about what worked and what didn't, plan to improve on aspects. Reflect on the training and your training plan. Was it sufficient, what did it lack. Discuss with your coach if you had one. Use the rehab and recovery time to disect and work out how to improve so that you come back stronger, fitter and more determined for Durban next year. Use your new goal events to put into practice the decisions from this post race analysis. Endurance events are not only long distance races but also long distance and time to incrementally improve. The next 70.3 will be easier as you now know what to expect. Good luck with the rehab and a speedy recovery!
  8. So in this latest update, my post count has dropped? There some topics been removed perminantly?
  9. I would recommend a trainer tyre. However, during the early days of covid there were no tyres available, so i got a cheap road tyre from Sportsmans Warehouse, think it cost R100 as i would use it in the interim, expecting it to explode eventually with the heat transfer from the trainer, but would be a stop gap until there were trainer tyres available. Am still using that cheap tyre and it works well. The rubber compound in these cheap tyres is hard, so does the job.
  10. They booted that woman driver who hit a rider off the road at the TdF a few years ago, so a precedent has been set to be booted
  11. Have often used gels as much as 6 months past due date without issue!
  12. Click forums at the top left, opens a list of all forum topic headings, then located off topics bottom right.... seems you now have to do a lot of click, click, click to navigate
  13. I am on no expedition, you seem rather confused. Some were saying it was not a girl on the ebike, however you can clearly see that it is... I merely pointed this out, nothing more!!
  14. 53s into the first video, is clearly a girl catching the guys having pressed the button, you can see the ponytail.
  15. I got it from FB
  16. Apart from the cap, also noticed the product placement in the video. Congrats !!
  17. To date the correspondence for Durban 70.3, the race is going ahead on 6 June as stands. If you have concerns about Covid19, you can defer to next year - Most who are considering or have deferred is because they have not trained as if it will happen, so now in a panic from no training, so using the Covid19 option to defer and not because of a mass participation event where there is a possibility even if small as the event is taking all precautions, Now if you don't want to swim you can opt out, yet we have been back in the pool since around August last year and you have been able to open water swim all summer. Maybe Ironman need to change their name to Wokeman
  18. I follow a few of the UK groups as well, whilst IM have offered it, Cotswold and other races local to you I have not heard of them changing a triathlon to a bike/run. Can you say you did a 70.3 Ironman if you chose not to do the swim??
  19. Q&A with Daniela Ryf https://www.triathlete.com/culture/people/qa-with-daniela-ryf-returning-to-the-u-s-finishing-her-degree-and-missing-races/ Now self coaching, will be interesting to see how her performance in upcoming races.
  20. Yes we got the same email for Durban 70.3 in June which am surprised at as our gyms have been open for quite a long time now, so no real excuse not to be swim ready.
  21. Yes it will be wetsuit legal If you get tired during the swim, you can stand up, swim is in the wakeboard oval and is about chest/neck deep, Try fluidlines https://fluidlines.co.za/collections/trisuits?page=4
