  1. Tactical blocking, no different to rugby players getting in the way of a wing or full back who is chasing a kick.

  6. Wincing with collar bone, back on bike, gingerly!!
  7. Probably cheapest is to get a speed and cadence sensor. Then record the workout with your apple watch and at the same time using your phone recording to strava directly via the app, with the speed, cadence and HR connected to your phone. The apple watch sends the HR data to vitality for the points. Direct recording of HR, speed and cadence via your phone and the strava app for distance and other info. You will likely have a duplication of workout as you will be recording directly through the strava app via your phone and also the data will be sync'd from your apple watch, so will need to delete the sync'd workout on strava.
  8. Pity Alpecin did not stay in the purple and gold kit for today.
  9. Think he was doing a test run for the finish!
  10. Not sure whether to stick it here on in the Tour de France thread The Alt Tour Can Lachlan Morton beat the Tour to Paris? https://www.efprocycling.com/the-alt-tour/ The standard Tour will cover 3,383 kilometers. The Alt Tour runs 5,510. The standard Tour asks riders to climb 42,200 meters. The Alt Tour demands a staggering 65,500. It’s a formidable undertaking no doubt, but one in keeping with the ethos of the very first Tour in 1903.
  11. INEOS have finally succumbed and will have a disc brake option at the tour https://road.cc/content/tech-news/pinarello-launches-dogma-f-time-tour-de-france-284371

  13. Life becomes much easier if you standardise across your bikes. All my road bikes/tri bike have the same BB, so swopping cranks, replacing BB etc is simple and standard irrespective of what manufacturers bring out as the next best thing!
  14. New kit day https://www.cyclingnews.com/news/nexthash-joins-qhubeka-as-co-sponsor-ahead-of-tour-de-france/ Also Burberry as a sponsor!

  16. Here a real life monitoring of HRV, having had Covid myself at the end of May 2021 and recovered from it. I have highlighted in the red oval, my HRV recovery point spiked before dropping to its lowest reading in the last 3 months whilst suffering with a fever for 2 days. After the 2 day fever broke it was like recovering from a heavy flu until around day 10. You will also see my Resting rMSSD dropped drastically and only from the 4 June 2021 did my HRV start to recover and the rMSSD thereafter. You can also see my Resting HR rising just before and then starting to slowly return to normality as the recovery took place.
  17. You have a tab like this
