  1. Nice, see you then!
  2. LOOOOOL!
  3. Formula Cura's are the way to go. They're the most powerful, excellent modulation, look good and remain relatively light. They're also fully serviceable and rebuildable so will last.
  4. I will test this tonight, however the last time i tried it did not work this simply due to Discovery reading a file that strava (and all devices and platforms) writes to the health app and the whole reason Discovery got rid of Strava was due to dodgy uploads/fake rides being made on Strava. The beautiful thing is that we are the kind pressurising guys that ask daily for the integration progress. When we hear, you will all hear, as I am sure they will be happy to tell you too! Will test tonight and revert tomorrow for you all though.
  5. You are correct. Will go through ZWIFT to Discovery if you are using the Garmin device at the same time, but if you are not, then will upload only your data to Garmin connect but then not on from there.
  6. One of the best events on the calendar! Well priced, mind blowing trails and local charities benefit hugely!
  7. I regularly ride on the top tube, I sit sideways on the top tube casually as most do at a coffee stop or pre race start or whatever.... I'm over 80kg. I ride a bike pretty hard. I have never had an issue of a top tube cracking, let alone three times in the same area regardless, and thats on numerous bike brands... if this bike manufacturer makes a paper thin top tube for whatever reason I don't think that it would be safe to ride even when sitting on it properly. The torsional and directional forces that go though bike in certain types of impacts with potholes, speed bumps etc can be instantaneously huge, we (all cyclists) also bunny hop things like speed bumps, potholes and dodge glass when seen at the last minute... I would hate a massive failure of a pretty large portion of the bike to just give way in an emergency stop. Do I think Canyon should warrantee the frame after being sat on improperly: No Do I think it shouldn't have broken in the first place: Yes FYI I have also seen them outright refuse a blatant warranty case (1st claim) under the BB area on the basis that "our frames are made very strong and they can't crack there"
  8. Basso Bikes. Still made good and proper in their Italian factory. ????????
  9. Hahaha, you may as well they're on a roll!
  10. This is not the first warranty refusal for a warrantee-able crack I have seen. I think if more clients post their stories on the brand then potential buyers can weigh up those options before parting with money.
  11. Our post on the ShockWiz is now live https://www.bikehub.co.za/features/_/articles/opinion/suspension-dialling-it-all-in-with-shockwiz-r7277
  12. PS if you don't want a fully custom tune you can change the tune state of your current unit to S/S or M/M or F/F or M/F or whatever you like, just by having the service dept at Stoke or Omnico change the nitrogen pressure and IFP etc according to OEM tunes.
  13. The ShockWiz is a great tool and probably the best starting point on your current suspension tune before sending it off for a new shim stack. plus even if you do want a custom stack, the shockWiz will give you great ammo about your riding and the data will help you translate money spent into actual gain and will probably mean getting the right stack first time. We have a ShockWiz unit and rent it out ala bike fit. Get in touch to make a booking.
  14. That bike though
  15. Stock arriving Monday morning at BikeMob
  16. Yup at that price they weren't staying long Sorry!
  17. By Naming the thread "Cycling Socks" they kinda shut the door on any other brand that make a sock... I'll start a thread called "Bicycles" then flame anyone who disagrees with the brand that goes in first.
  18. Hey Chuck, obviously seen a large number of frame requests, so now the frame pricing is live too, check it out: http://niner.co.za/product-category/wfo-9/ R27599
  19. If you buy a bike for the groupset it comes with then you may be missing the point of cycling completely. I am not going to buy a Titan for example because it comes with XTR instead of a Niner with SLX at the same price - They cannot be compared. If you simply walk in and choose a bike form Game or Hyperama based on those credentials you will never descern the nuances to be had buying different/high end/niche/well developed bike brands and paying the extra money for the ride quality and geometry and suspension design or whatever that brand does best. You're investing in a frame and the price point will be met by brands by fitting the groupset afterwards, not the other way around.
  20. dollar 12.3 if your'e lucky. Plus 16.5% vat and customs - and that doesn't even include the 5K odd to get it here, plus the 15% duty on complete bikes... Convert that on your dollar and you're staring at 69195... Nico's price at R55K doesn't seem so bad now then eh? RRP in SA is now R61K for the complete bike.
  21. Niner SA are now bringing in complete bikes, so the RIP 9 and WFO 9 can be had in any of the standard build kits you see on the dot com site... the frame only options before worked out way expensive to build locally, and getting parts can be a hassle - Not any more check out new distribution and website http://www.niner.co.za
  22. Yes guys we have stock at Epic Bike Shop, selling out fast but will re-order soon. R295 a kit. It's very lightweight, convenient and keeps the actual plug strip clean and tacky. Its a very good solution
  23. All three assailants were caught following this
