  1. Could you PLEASE post a picture of your completed single speed project?i would really like to see it. Regards Gerhard
  2. Your cranks are just bloody awesome
  3. I really hope theres space this year, could not get in last year.
  4. Also got the answer from Toyota
  5. Giant p xc 2 wheels, I rode them when I weighed 136kg's. You will find them for sale on the hub quite often. They're lightweight and will cost you approximately R2500 -R2800. You can use the standard hubs, no need to change them
  6. Simple solution:when I bought my Fortuner I went to the local exhaust shop and the welded a pipe with a slight bend that points downwards onto the exhaust. Like you see on many cars nowadays where the exhaust points downwards instead of straight. No problems at all after that. Here is a pic as an example
  7. It cost R500, anyway too late now to take it back
  8. 13.5 hours via a USB plugged into a computer versus 4 hours via a kindle charger.
  9. Yip a USB that must be plugged into a Kindle charger, can charge via a computer but apparently it charges so much faster. Point is the charger is normally included when a new electronic gizmo is sold.
  10. I purchased a bike and when I got home and opened the box a note stated that the seat is sold separately. We'll no this did not happen really. What did happen really is that I bought the enemy (the wife) a Kindle FIre HD and when she opened the box there was no charger. A note stated that the charger is sold separately. Come on Amazon, what a load of crap and a rip off. A rip off because I had to buy this at an additional R500!!! They say you can use a blackberry adapter but I like to charge the device with its intended charger. It's like selling a bicycle without a seat isn't it?
  11. My son and I rode a portion of the 2014 ABSA Cape Epic Stage 1 route, was a riller! To the left at the bottom is where you enter the climb to the right. The photo does not do justice to the incline up and down the other side! Get ready for a masterpiece route, just missed Dr. Evil, apparently he rode it the previous day....
  12. You must go for the 29 er due to your height and weight. Buy a second hand Giant XTC because their standard wheels are bombproof. I started one one of these and this bike will take you to the next level. And yes a XL.
  13. In the end he was probably the fastest 62 year old around....
  14. Don't eat chips, they just slow you down
  15. Definitely Garmin Edge 500.... been using mine with absolutely no problems.
  16. Awesome idea, well done.
  17. Be careful not to scratch the frame when you wash, the sand and a rag acts like sand paper. Hot water Cap says will work, I agree. Don't laugh but I ride with an xtra water bottle just for washing off the stans if i puncture during a midweek ride but this is a risk over longer rides if you need the water and you're far away from a tap....
  18. They have finally arrived, going to look at one today......saw it last night through the shops window. Awesome.
  19. Most cyclist don't , idiots
  20. We were there Thursday afternoon and the guard wouldn't let us through. They should keep the road closed and open it as a MTB route, will be awesome haha
  21. Well done to everyone that finished. I want to join a team and do this next year, definitely.....Anybody want me?
