  6. Why you make me cry on a freaking friday in the office?!!!!!!
  7. What amazes me is that a Sharks team can go onto a field and kick all their ball away to a team with back line players that can run from anywhere on the park. Surely the way to stop a team like that is by keeping the possession and forcing penalties. I am not sure of the stats but I'm almost certain that the 'Saders are in the top three position for penalties against.
  8. 1x10 it is then. Think the extra 22kg's(7kg seat and 15kg lighty) might kill a social rider like myself on SS.
  9. Here is what she did:
  10. Thanks Ryan Got it working but with one little issue though. I have a top pul FD and the quick release system is clamped on my cable. I have only found one source of info on this. This lady cut a copper pipe in half and wrapped it in grip tape to clear the cables. Maybe this is the perfect excuse to apply the n+1 rule and build an SS.
  11. Much appreciated.
  12. Hey Wayne might be interested in the Orange one. I'm a shortarse too. How much space do you need to clamp it?
  13. That's correct VicanZA https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/98724-almost-complete-xtr-groupset/
  14. Would you like to make an offer?
  15. But if the wind is blowing through your hair you ain't wairing a helmet.
  16. Thanks Mayhem. Looks like I have some math to do.
  17. Ok then... What kinda value am I looking at? Got double blade crank, shifters, FD, RD, cluster, free-hub body
  18. So my sister surprised me yesterday with an almost complete XTR 2x10 groupo(used but in a great condition and just the brakes were excluded). Thing is that I'm still on an entry level HT Silverback Spectra 3.0. Will it be beneficial for me to upgrade my current 3x10 Deore/SLX with the XTR seeing as it will be hella expensive to maintain? I'm considering selling the XTR and getting a 26" DS frame to build my current components onto. Any advice will be highly appreciated.
  19. Northwave. I have small wide feet and the Carbon strikers are awesome.
  20. 2011 KTM Comp R 1.0 4 year old middel of the road Dual sus could go for anything between R5k and R7k depending on condition/brand/status. I personally wouldn't pay more than R5500 for that fiets in good condition. It all comes down to what it's worth to you and wether it would suit your application.
  21. I have Alex XD comp rims with Deore hubs and those rims are bullet proof. Silverback after sales is also great and they usually come in at better value for money. Edit: Just to add that the sola comes with the better deore brakes and the Recon silver fork. Apart from that and the wheels the bikes are almost exactly the same. Check the geometry and the one that feels best should be ok.
  22. Thanks for all the advice. I did RTFM after i downloaded it from the the website. Note to self.....dont F*@k with S#1t you don't know S#1t about.....
  23. I think you might have just found the problem. Last week I tried to set up the rebound on my fork and I might have"accidentally" set it to full tilt thinking I had set it to its quickest rebound setting.    Thanks Ben I'll check it out.
  24. Hi all. Just wanted to find out where the best place is to get my Recon serviced? I would like to take it to someone that specialises in suspension because i might have blown a seal on sunday during a race(pure speculation as I'm no expert) I noticed after the first rocky descent that my fork was almost completely sagged. There was only about 25 mm of stanchion visible when i was on the bike and it was fully extended when i was off of it. I didn't notice any damage or oil. Any advice on where to take it, or easy checks that i can do to know the extent of the damage, will be highly appreciated.
