  1. I've pre-ordered a Large (polished finish) The XL bikes are not affected and have been available for some time now. The L (In white) also now available. Giant's website The frame can crack at the junction of the seat post and top tube. I am still concerned because it looks very weak at that joint and I am not a light rider. Should I cancel the order and get something else?
  2. I agree with Wannabe. Get enough evidence and open a case at cops. (Although it may be less frustrating to just fix the punctures.)
  3. Here is my tip. (Unfortunately based on experience...) Keep whatever "weapon" you choose on your person. I was separated from my bike when I was hit in the face with a pole. It was only a couple of seconds before the four attackers were on top of me. Practice drawing your "weapon" with your eyes closed - there may not be a lot of time for you to use it. .... better yet. Do not Cycle alone Avoid dangerous areas Do not even think of doing the above after dark.
  4. The numberplate clips are moulded into the plastic. (area where numberplate fits.) There should be four. Just twist and break two clips loose. There are holes where you pust the clips into, after fitting the numberplate. You only need two lockable knobs. (From Thule - cannot remember price +- R300)
  5. +1 29' dual suspension
  6. I normally do minor adjustments / services myself but I recently got my roadbike serviced (major) @ CycleLab. My bike was ready on time and I can see / feel that everything was done as promised. The new handlebar tape looks like a factory job. Your experience may differ but I will take my bike back next year.
  7. Get a magic shine.
  8. Hi All I've been using one for a month now and I can report back that it does absolutely nothing. I still wear it though......... If there is anybody that is looking for a business idea: Take all the info on IceID or Medic Alert and put it on the "hologram". (Just make sure people can read it) The Power Balance band will last a very long time and at least then it will a purpose other than being a fashion statement. If I do all the tests at home, I almost always do better the second time. (Even if I do not hold anything in my hands. i.e. no PB or anything else for that matter)..seems to me you always perform better the second time because you know what to expect.

  10. Very good Issue. I'll scan and send on Monday. The Verdict of Serfas review: "Tubeless tyres with conversion kit, hydraulic disk brakes, air-damped fork with remote lockout on a sub-R8000 bike - very impressive. Serfas has taken value-for-money to a new level in SA. The XR3 is the ideal entry-level bike, giving the buyer an already upgraded package and freeing up cash for decent pedals and shoes"

    Shaving Legs

So I like to shave my legs.... it makes me feel more focussed. Question is .... where do you stop? Normally I shave to about .... well waistline. (You know what I mean) But this still leaves a hairy chest and stomach. Got carried away with clippers this weekend and as a result I am now very smooth. (Feels fantastic in swimming pool) Now just one question - what about the hairy armpits? Do not know how socially acceptable it will be to shave that too - but it looks a bit awkward unshaved. Where do you stop? (Keep in mind the cost of Mach3 blades...) What is the most unlikely thing a woman will ever say? "I'm bored - lets shave my p*&&y."
  16. Fantastic - well done!
  17. ... you can get Discovery Vitality for your Polar workouts...

  19. I've been using SRAM Powerlinks on my 9 sp chains up to now for easy removal. (Cleaning and swapping) An upgrade to 10 sp is on the horison and I was just wondering if there is a Masterlink available for the new 10 speed chains. Thanks All
  20. Nice bike. I cannot figure out if its a 26" or 29er. I assume you do not have insurance? Buy a new frame and rebuild or your components onto new frame. The risk associated with using this frame is not worth it.
  21. ... Congrats! She is gorgeous! Have you decided on a name yet? s'pose Zaskar?
  22. I saw The Serfas XCR3 add in new ride mag. Serfas Al lot of kit for R7999. Includes tubeless tyres and Stans. Not WS but I think a lot of kit for price. Has anybody seen these bikes?

  24. One of the 2011 bikes that I cannot wait to see is the 2011 Giant Anthem X 29er 1. I love the polished finish.
