  1. ASG I found this link. My friend's Rudys are older than 12 months - so this in not applicable:(
  2. So this does not apply to already scratched lenses?
  3. Hi All I am sure that I've read about Rudy Project's Scratch policy in a recent magazine but I cannot find it. A friend scratched his beloved Rudys and need urgent help. Can anybody guide me please?
  4. Great read! Went through a similar experience almost 2 years ago. I was severely beaten and tied up. My four attackers said that they were going to kill me. As I was laying with face in the dirt (and a bit of my own blood) - I suddenly felt this amazing warmth and calmness - I knew GOD was there - He protected me.

    Anatomic - Rant

Thank you all for the responses. Attie from Anatomic contacted me today. Looks like my issue will be resolved.
  6. Recommended Discharge Current?
  7. Thank You for info! Much appreciated.
  8. A friend and I both picked up similar quality issues with expensive Anatomic Bib Shorts. I've sent two emails to the addresses found on Anatomic's website. 'anatomic@cycling-sa.co.za' 'louis@anatomic.co.za' A week later (after first email) and NO reply. Does anybody have other contact details for Anatomic? I would like to sort my issue out.
  9. Hi All I want to use my Swallow Advance battery charger to charge my Magicshine battery pack but I do not know what settings to use. Cell info: 18650 3.7V 2200mAh. On website: [Array: 4 x 18650 Li-ion array (8.4V 4.4 AH)] Swallow only has following voltage for Li-ion: 3.6, 7.2 etc Can I use Li-Po settings? Is 7.4 the correct voltage? Why does website say 8.4V? (Are two cells in series and 2 in parallel) Li-Po: 3.7, 7.4, 11.1, etc there is a "C" setting - I assume capacity. Do I use capacity of cell (2200) or 4400? Please help - I am a mechanic. I do not understand stuff I cannot see:)
  10. Aha! this makes sense!
  11. I've noticed that some tandems (Such as the Cannondale Road Tandem) have mechanical Disk brakes. Ara hydraulic disk brakes used on tandems? If not why? A friend told me that he thinks it has to do with excissive heat causing issues. I know of brakes that failed on a fully loaded Volvo Dump truck (must be 60 odd tons) because the fluid started to boil. Any inputs will be appreciated.
  12. During Saturday's race I've spotted a bike that seemed to have an extra hub flange on each wheel. I could not see if there were spokes attached to these flanges (as the bike was moving at the time) but it sure looked strange. After a bit of Googling I've found that the hubs may belong to FSA RD-600 wheels. "FSA's striking-looking RD-600 wheels have three hub flanges rather than the usual two, with the addition of an extra flange in the middle of the hub. The idea is to tuck a third of the spokes into the line of the rim so that they are sheltered from the airflow, improving the aerodynamics of the wheel." Any comments on these?
  13. Hi All I have been using a MagicShine MJ808 for a while now. I think it is a very nice little light. On the Hub I've seen upgrades being advertised such as the MJ-808X and MJ-808E. On Magiclight's website they refer to their new model as the ML1000. To add confusion to all these models, CycleLab is advertising two new lights MJ870 and MJ872 with 1200 and 1600 Lumens respectively. Their lights have 4 LEDs. I need some help please - which of these would be considered "The Ultimate Light" Has anybody purchased and used the MJ870 and MJ872 from CycleLab? MJ872 MJ870
  14. After cutting my Crossmark's sidewall, I've ordered new UST Crossmarks from CWC. This left me without tyres for my 29er for a whole weekend. By Saturday I was so frustrated, that my only option was to fit 700x23 Gatorskins that were not in use. The result was not pretty - but it enabled me to ride my bike!! Bottom line - It works but you do not want to ride it in public.
  15. I've had to claim with Cyclesure a while ago. They've handled my claim very efficiently. I am very happy with them. A friend had to claim for damaged wheels - again very good service.
  16. The trick is to first clean your rim with "disk brake cleaner" or similar. (must not leave oil behind) Install Stans yellow tape. Trim hole away for valve. !!!! NB - Re-install tube and inflate to max pressure. Wait 20 minutes - this will ensure that the tape will not come loose. Deflate - remove tube - and complete tubeless conversion.
  17. I'm also an Anthem 29er owner IMO the stock wheels are not bad at all. I've made them tubeless. (Wide yellow tape and valves only - with Crossmark UST tyres) NO issues at all. I've decided to use the stock wheels until I've lost enough weight. (Was 105 - now 95, still a long way to go)
  18. I'm no expert but you need to structure your training better. Start with 12 weeks of base training - which will provide just that - a base that you can use to build more advanced training on. I've found a very good website that explains all the phases that you should include in your plan. TACX Website Keep in mind that this is an endurance sport - bottom line is that you must spend more time in the saddle. Only weekends not nearly enough.
  19. Old News Buy it - ride it. If it breaks, local supplier will replace it.
  20. Love my X1!!! I can recommend Crossmark USTs! Didn't like flat bar too much - 15mm Crank Brothers Cobalt 2 Riser Bars made a difference for me.
  21. Take your wheels to JB. He built my wheels and I am very happy with his work!
  22. I haven't punctured in 2 years. Gatorskins @ max pressure. (Road) UST (MTB)
