  1. I see the recommended tire size for the XTR M975 is 1.5 to 2.25. Has anyone run anything bigger as I want to put on 2.3 UST Nevegals? Also I am thinking of putting these on my "light" trail bike (light as in no serious air time)
  2. Thanks. Going to be a beaut. While you got time I suggest you look at the service manuals for the shock and fork. The cables run differently on your model to Hairy's.
  3. Lat all the air out of the fork, - chamber first. (watch the oil doesnt spray on your rotors) Take your weight and convert to pounds(weight X 2.2), Divide by 2 (almost same weight) and that is the pressure you need for + air. Check the SAG (Due to different riding styles). Make the - chamber 5 - 10 psi less. This is a starting point and you will have to play around.
  4. Saw a cyclist on the N1 yesterday just before that turn-off. He had a bright vest thing on, no helmet. Just someone trying to get to work. Cops drove straight past him so he would assume its legal. Will mail hairy now but he is a woos and wouldnt ride in this weather.
  5. Schwalbe also do a red sidewall
  6. I have number 2 for you if you interested. Have put reflective tape on to help with visibility.
  7. I like the red! I also heard somewhere that red bikes are faster
  8. I have been thinking my options on a choice of coulour and I cont decide. I am thinking it will be red or yellow or colours fading into each other (think lumo yellow and pink). Black and white are too common nowadays. brushed ali looks like alot of hard work.

  10. What if we all did it together? I know I am faster than one of you guys so shouldnt be in any danger
  11. DONT do it. Went that way once and saw a whole lot of purses on the ground and there were some nervous, dodgy looking characters near the water.

  13. 3 Bolt system. Price for this innovation?
  14. Is it usual for this "type" of riding style to use Carbon H\Bars? (Width wise it would make them more flimsy as well) I am still to scared to use them on my XC bike Handlebar - Bontrager Rhythm Pro Carbon
  15. Not bad looking. http://www.singletrackworld.com/2011/03/new-2012-shimano-deore-and-slx/ http://bicycling.com/blogs/thestraightdirt/tag/2012-slx/
  16. And what is the verdict?
  17. Okay now you go and make sense. For me grippy is Mountain king, Seguaro, Nevegal and nobby nic. These usually are heavier tires if you go for the wider than 2.1 versions (I am abviously thinking tubeless which is not what he wants) Hi-jack: I dont find the X-kings that great, could be riding style but I am happy with any other tire.
  18. Are you nuts? OP: I'm looking for something affordable and light. Grippy means heavy and those tires you recommend cost a fortune.. A beginner doesn't go blasting into mud.
  19. Cross Marks. Good for everything, brilliant at nothing. They last forever too.

    Chumba EVO G2

Whats it made of? Weight? Is it one frame with interchangable mounts for different travel rear shocks? (I prefer the first shock) What seatpost is that? YES i would get one.
  21. I want the annual permit so do i download the form, fill it in and take it with me and the money on a ride tomorrow and collect my board at the start?
  22. B17, Swift or swallow. Which is more xc orientated?
